^Glad you enjoyed it. Though part of that 'hen night' vibe annoyed me during the show when I saw it. People shouting out inappropriately and singing out aloud and out of key (and before Bev hits the big notes). I'm sure that your etiquette was impeccable!

Oh it was my 8th time so I knew i would love it! I don't mind the craziness if I is at the end of songs and if it fits, but not random singing along etc, which didn't happen tonight. Only craziness at the end of songs and the end of the show! Not gonna lie, I was one of the first on their feet, closely followed by the whole audience, but that was a mix of Beverley and the alcohol (our underage readers, don't drink in the theatre unless you know your limits!)

Beverley certainly deserves the standing ovation.

Am I the only one in here who can't stand Beverley? 🙊 Fab singer. Horrible horrible actress. Didn't love her Rachel at all and actually thought she was painful to watch during the non-singing parts.

Show stopped for technical difficulties tonight. Beverley's voice cracked during Run To You and Rachel John is stepping up.

They stopped the show just before the karaoke scene, and the company manager came in to explain. Some lout soon bellowed "Money Back" at him though. I have to say, admirable of Rachel switching roles like that. She was incredible. Get well soon Beverley.

There is now recordings of Rachel on YouTube. Audience is very quiet compared to the two times I have seen it at the Dominion, both times I went there was cheering from the moment the video montage began haha! I wonder if that is the Beverley effect or just a quiet day? Cause even the audience at the end seem quiet.

I think the Dominion is too big for this show.

I think the Dominion is too big for this show. It is a very difficult venue but you must remember it is the size of pretty much two smaller West End theatres. So even half full is about a 1000 people. I think the size works for the concert settings in the show, and the spectacle aspect of the show. Both times I have been to the Dominion run, it was a Friday night and the stalls at least were full. But this is very much a show that would be packed on the weekends but during the weekdays it would be hit or miss in terms of numbers. Also two shows of the week with no Beverley probably isn't the best thing for the box office as she is the main draw for this along with the Whitney/Bodyguard name.

At first I thought Beverley was just becoming extremely emotional during Run to You, as she styled it out by having Ms Marron appearing overwhelmed. But then those dreaded words "technical difficulties" were announced.
On the plus side, this was my third visit to The Bodyguard, and I have now seen four different Rachels. Tonight was two for the price of one!

I'm not being funny, girl, but at least we can be sure it genuinely was down to technical issues.

Rachel John has a beautiful tone- it's easier on the ear for me than Beverley.
Obviously Beverley is great, too!

God I am a lucky soul going to the theatre... saw this the day before Beverley croaks, saw Funny Girl the day before Sheridan's breakdown, saw Curious Incident the day before the roof collapse! I can't tell if I am a bad omen for a show or just selfish but lucky!
