Honestly, good news. That production was obsessed with cleaning the story and "finding humanity" and "authenticity". Basically, glorifying Eva and Peronism and erasing that she was a white woman (and that played a big part in her success). The 100% latino cast wasn´t reflective of Argentina´s enormous ethnic diversity at the time.

The ART production is NOT coming to Broadway as originally planned. RUG was apparently not impressed with the production and cancelled plans. Evita might still come to Broadway but it might be another production or totally new one. they should ship the Jamie Lloyd version over - given he's a relatively hot commodity after the seagull

They did the same with Into The Woods when it transferred. However something tells me Rachel Zegler wouldn’t be a good fit for the Jamie Lloyd version.
