I have not seen this so am not in a position to comment but am certainly aware of it.
Everyone's positive comments leap from the page.
From what I can gather it seems like they're taking the p***s out of Celine Dion and THAT song.
Not having seen it, I wonder how whatever is being done and said lands in light of her recent medical diagnosis?

I saw it a few weeks back and LOVED it. It doesn’t necessarily attack Celine personally, more her mannerisms - there is nothing about her person which is even mentioned. It’s more Celine telling her version of the titanic as if she were there. It’ll land very well here and have a huge cult following - I can’t wait!

if Marla doesn't come over to do it, I can't lie that I'd love to see Christina Bianco! Christina would be amazing!

I think a 500-600 seater would enable it to make money like the Criterion, DoY, Trafalgar and at a push @sohoplace

This is the worst kind of press release - I kind of feel like if you don't have a venue, any cast members or a booking date, it's not really worth talking about yet. We've all got plans for a West End run at some point, just sometimes they're more possible than others...

The director, Tye, has referred to a "brand new British company" of Titanique which doesn't sound promising for Marla or Constantine to reprise their roles.

I would pay up to 50 British pounds Stirling to see this in an intimate London setting with Cinzano Bianco…

(Any Vermouth was my tipple of choice at home as a student…I think that fortified wines are quite big with the alcoholic community).

This does my head in and actually takes more away from the actual announcement in time. This does nothing for the show. If you can’t do something where people can actively react straight away and book tickets then it’s not even news.

It might well be that they’re trying to demonstrate interest to potential backers/producers in order to get it over the line or into a bigger house. By announcing the news, they generate a bit of buzz, which in turn (potentially) proves it’s a project with a waiting audience and therefore worth backing.

Erm, this has a theatre booked, and is fully financed. So…..
It’s called a marketing strategy.

I really thought it had been announced before it was going to the Arts.

The clip WOS posted on their YouTube wasn't great. Seemed a lot of shouting and singing over eachother.
