I just found out that Sam Barks has released a self-titled solo album: www.amazon.co.uk/Samantha-Barks/dp/B01DNA8IBG/Just ordered that CD, but it'll take some time until it'll be delivered to Germany. Anyone got that CD already and can report back?

It's on Spotify. Don't you use Spotify to preview stuff Michael? Nah, I'm oldschool. No Spotify and no downloading music from Amazon, iTunes or the likes (unless it's not available as physical CD). Nothing beats owning a CD, adding it to the collection (currently 1000+ (not all musical related though)) and browsing through the booklet. Just having the download simply doesn't feel right for me. And re Previews: I usually trust my gut with which I usually get well on.

Do you think she turned down the Broadway Amelie job or they offered it to Phillipa first?

Phillipa did the pre-Berkeley reading, so either is possible.

If you're in London Samantha will be performing at West End live tomorrow, performing songs from her new CD at 15:50.
She will also performing a concert at the Shoreditch Town Hall on 24th June.

If you're in London Samantha will be performing at West End live tomorrow, performing songs from her new CD at 15:50. Not in London. And even if I were, I'd avoid WEL as it's way too crowded for my liking. But I'm pretty sure someone will film Sam's performance and upload it to Youtube. She will also performing a concert at the Shoreditch Town Hall on 24th June. I am in London next weekend, but I've already booked a ticket for Aladdin for Friday Evening, so, unfortunately, I have to give her concert a miss.

Anyone got that CD already and can report back? Oh yes. My husband is rather a big fan so we have it. I've heard snippets. It isn't bad.

An initial line-up of guest stars has been announced for The Barricade Boys' concerts at The Other Palace.
Samantha Barks, Camilla Kerslake, Alice Fearn, Nadim Naaman and Kieran Brown will all appear during the show's festive run, joining the four-strong boyband group of Simon Schofield, Dougie Carter, Lee Honey Jones and George Tebbutt.
The concerts see the foursome sing songs from famous musicals, as well as festive favourites.
Barks will guest star on 17 December, Kerslake on 16 December, Fearn on 23 December, Naaman on 27 December and Brown on 28 December matinee. More star names will be announced shortly.
The Barricade Boys' Christmas season runs from Tuesday 10 to Saturday 28 December, with tickets on sale now.

How long were these night caps usually when PTM organised them at The Other Palace? I really want to see Samantha Barks live but the theatre’s so far from any tube station and there’s the South Western Railway strikes to mess everything up.

Sam is also doing a 'Night Cap' at the Turbine Theatre on 16th December 😀 Just got back from it. A lovely girl, very pretty and a stunning voice. Only sung a handful of song, only two of which were from musicals- Heave Help My Heart from Chess and On My Own from Les Miserables. No Frozen. Very chatty and bubbly. Actually got a really great pic with her that I'd upload if I knew how to.

She was fab wasn't she! Her voice is so strong now, she's come a long way. Disappointed she didn't sing more but she made a charming and funny interviewee and hopefully she'll do more solo gigs in the run up to Frozen.

Was there as well, I agree I wanted more songs but I guess that's the style of the Night Caps. Actually I preferred the 'interview' to the singing part, just because I had no idea she was so funny and down to earth.

Anyone who is a fan of really bad Christmas movies should try to see The Christmas Candle which stars Samantha Barks alongside many fine actors including Lesley Manville and James Cosmo. There is also, bewilderingly, a cameo from Susan Boyle.

For anyone attending the Drury Lane concert tonight and needs to plan transport, the show will be two 1-hour acts and should finish around 9.50.

Really enjoyed her concert last night. Fantastic set list and my god, she can belt out a tune can’t she?! Simply stunning.
Orfeh was great too.

Yeah she was fabulous, she's come on such a long way and her voice is so strong now. Really glad I went.
Could've done without The Overtones turning part of the second half into a naff 70s wedding reception though, it completely shattered the "musical theatre haven" she'd spent 90 minutes creating.
