It's back on tkts for Thursday for the first time I think since the opening night and the ATG site has done some dynamic pricing down as well.
Show not an easy call for deciding to book now or hold for offers or tkts on the day. Plenty of tickets about but most now rear stalls or circles unless you pay premium but the seats tkts have been showing in preview and tomorrow are great front stalls and dress circle seats which weren't showing as avaliable on the atg site before so presume they are unsold agency tickets. In previews the tkts had seats which were half price and great seats which did seem to be avaliable for sale until late in the day which seemed surprising seeing it was a new show.
After the raves on here plan to this see mid November theatre break and for the other shows I am looking at seeing alongside its quite clear that reduced tickets will either be on offer on the day or to grab ticket now. While no doubt tickets have moved since opening night I would have thought any broadway producers would want to see such a highly praised and very limited run sell out at full price and not have to discount. It will be a turnaround if broadway does get it next year seeing how long it's taken for the sellout cabaret to open over there.

so many rumours at this point… does anyone have a solid info about Nicole transferring with this to Broadway or doing Death Becomes Her? I dont think both will suit her schedule

excellent front dress circle seats on sale on TKTS for 50£. And congrats for its 2 Evening Standard Theatre Awards nominations! I picked up a dress circle centre of row B seat for £50 at the start of last week from TKTS. Played the waiting game on the day. Snapped it up when the best seats were discounted at about 14:00. Same seat is going for over £200 on some performances.

Also worth checking ATG out the day before as dynamic pricing seems to be working in favour with premium seats dropping to more reasonable amounts.

Seating question here - has anyone who is over 6ft ever sat in the front row of the Grand Circle of The Savoy? I really want to see this in a few weeks and have found a pretty reasonably priced ticket there. I really can’t afford the extortionate prices of the stalls seats at the moment, so would appreciate any advice on legroom (And whether I might be crushed).

I have, for Sheridans final Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. I don’t recall the legroom being particularly bad, and the view was good.

It's fine - it's snug but not unbearable. I'm 6ft with broad shoulders and found it fine.

For anyone entering, my lottery ticket tonight was right in the middle of row J of the dress circle.

Just on my way home, absolutely stunning production. Fabulously inventive.
Nicole maybe a bit more unhinged than the text requires but that just added to the fun. All four main players great really.
Don't forget your Grindr!

Just back from tonight's show and totally blown away. I hadn't planned on seeing this with Nicole as I wasn't a fan but after seeing all the reviews I had to check her out and boy am I glad I did. It was incredible. The two big numbers and the final scene are out of this world. I've never heard an audience react as loudly as they did tonight. Praise too for David Thaxton, loved how he's put a new portrayal to Max. Orchestra, just perfect, stayed til the end to hear it all it was a shame not many others did.

I was there Tonight and have to agree. Excellent performances all round. Vocals and orchestra excellent. Anyone with doubts go and see it!

5 stars from me as well. Loved the staging and outstanding performances from all the cast. Hard to believe its Grace Hodgett Young first professional role- she makes Betty a truly memorable character.
Full standing ovation at yesterday matinee- and mid week matinées don't get standing ovations as much as other performances I have found.
First time at the Savoy theatre through and I can't say I'm a fan of the building through.

The horrible grapes and vine so walls in the foyer are so naff, and the FOH areas feel so cramped.

it's weird having to stand at the side of the hotel too, you feel everyone look you up and down queueing whilst they swan inside

Comparing the current state of bookings for next Monday and Tuesday it's clear that Nicole Scherzinger is a big draw. I'd like to see Rachel Tucker's interpretation first so hoping for some dynamic pricing or a decent Rush offer on Monday.

Have to agree re the theatre. My first time there and didn't really like it. All those stairs are so confusing- but it does make the Act 2 opener very impressive. Tom must be so fit to go up and down them all whilst belting out that tune without loslng breath. And the dress circle was so hot last night!

They opened the side exit during the interval which helped a bit.

How have they resolved Nicole's age? “The biggest star of all” is very young in principle. Thanks!

How have they resolved Nicole's age? “The biggest star of all” is very young in principle. Thanks! When I first read about the casting I assumed she was really young for the role but she’s actually older than the original Norma (Patti LuPone) was when it opened, and only a year younger than Glenn Close was when she did it in LA originally. This assumes all the ages on Google are correct, of course. In this production she’s obviously styled much less as an aging Hollywood grande dame, and there’s a change in a reference near the end from her being 50 to being 40 (she and the others mentioned all actually played the role bang in the middle of their 40s) but to be honest it works because her Norma feels significantly older than Joe and yet not so old that the age gap makes the end of Act 1 much of a leap of imagination. It’s more Max being younger than her which didn’t quite stack up for me. In terms of the greatest star being very young, I think you have to look at what (at least I think) Jamie Lloyd is trying to get at, namely the way we continue to build up celebrities, idolise them, give them god complexes, then move on without a second thought - so she might have been a huge star at 18 and by 45 she’s a real “whatever happened to her?” character. If you see the show I'm sure you'll see what I'm getting at but to me it's sort of like modern dress Shakespeare productions where you as the audience have to slightly bridge the gap between the fact that what's being said and what's being presented doesn't entirely match up in a literal "we're in year x" sense, but the parallel is clear enough. So you sort of don’t have to literally buy Nicole Scherzinger as a 1920s film star, just as someone whose celebrity rose and fell in dramatic fashion.

So I know lots of people probably will have asked the best place to sit, but trying my best to avoid spoilers in this thread. I have been looking at the best seats for a December date, under £100. Has anyone sat around Row M of the stalls, or Row G of the dress circle? How raked are they both? Thank you

I saw this just before the PN
It was one of the most startling and affecting stagings of a musical I have ever seen
It covered almost all the weaknesses of ALW as a composer
The fact that his shows have a maximum of 2 memorable themes or motifs used again and again and again
I was in the front row and found the combination of directing lighting and video work
Alluring and electrifying
NS is a cut above the rest of the cast for me her performance seemed to be worthy of an arena or stadium
Perhaps this reflects the stature of the actress Norma once was
I loved it and it was a total experience
