I'm interested to hear if Nicole and Tom are more relaxed and smiling at curtain call now. On the first night they were either trying to hold in their emotions or if they stayed in character throughout. Thoughts from anyone who has seen it since Thursday.

On the first night they were either trying to hold in their emotions or if they stayed in character throughout. Thoughts from anyone who has seen it since Thursday. On Saturday night, Tom still seemed quite earnest in the curtain call. Nicole looked pretty relaxed. David Thaxton looked appreciative. Nobody on stage really smiles at the curtain call, but their eyes all glow with pride and appreciation.

Booked this for December, it’s my favourite of Andrew’s Scores so I’m interested in see what they’ve done with it.
Anyone know the running time?

In fairness, there was a lottery draw last week. I didn't win, so I can't tell you what the seats were like. But usually with these things, it depends entirely on how well the show is selling.

I rolled my eyes when it was announced and now I'm HYPED. There's the leading pull quote for the new poster!

is it normal for characters to be portrayed in different ways by different actors in the same version of a show?
cause reading all the comments, it looks like Nicole's Norma was very much built around her own public-persona. curious to know how Rachel will play the character...

Apparently people trying to get in on the second act opener but there's a guard there.

Apparently people trying to get in on the second act opener but there's a guard there. If you (not you, poster) are purposely doing this then you are an absolute idiot. Have respect for the people involved and stay away, the show isn’t about you, you have no place or reasoning to be involved.

I fear they were asking for trouble doing this. It’s risky on many levels.

I purposely avoided reading this board, and all I knew was this production was unconventional.
Unconventional for sure, but also mesmerizing and brilliant.
I saw the original starring Patti Lupone at the Adelphi (30 years ago?). At tonight’s performance, ALW and his party arrived just before the start, as the theatre filled with haze. He was seated in the 7th row.
The show has been considerably rewritten, and is no longer told in flashback. People unfamiliar with it might have trouble following the opening 15 minutes.
The Act 2 opening? Magnificent, and for a moment we got to see Norma in a turban.
General comment. With few exceptions, the headphones provided in London theaters to hearing challenged folks like me need to be upgraded. The staff should test them and check the batteries. Better yet - find out what system they use on broadway.

Apparently people trying to get in on the second act opener but there's a guard there. I wouldn't be surprised if, by the time I go in November, they've scrapped the second act opener as it stands, and re-choreographed it (if you can call it that) in some way.
