…or a vanity ‘executive producer’ credit. All it is doing is reducing the people who actually made its’ share of the profits to appease the megalomanic tendencies of the ‘artist’. Like Cowell having a writers credit on the BGT & X-Factor themes. Really Si? Have you not made enough money exploiting the talent of others? Jaysus! But ALW was Exec Producer... why is that vanity? I actually had a brief chat with him in the bar at the Savoy as he was in primarily to catch the end of the first half, which they were still tweaking.

And when you’ve actually written the music? Yourself? On your piano? Fact: None of these people would be there making money if ALW hadn’t put pen to paper. I’m ok with him taking the credit.

That was in relation to him being listed as a performer.

Is there any connection between what comes up next to tracks on Apple Music/Spotify and royalties contracts?
I’ve never assumed one and former so random half the time, I’ve always imagined they’re just typed in by some temp at whim!

There's a 26 second preview of it floating around on Instagram. I'm sure I heard it on one of the cast's stories earlier - can't find the story now but the audio is still available if you search. Looking forward to this!

Is there any news as to whether the soundtrack will be on streaming services? With a lack of pre-add links it's not looking hopeful.

The single is sooooooo good. Sounds absolutely PHENOMENAL for a live cast recording, we're basically at studio quality now with these recordings. Crystal clear quality and clarity, I can hear every part of the orchestra and every single element. It's totally blown me away in quality.
Massive props to everyone involved in sound because it's basically perfect, considering he was walking around doing it outside the theatre and such it's such a massive bar set for cast recordings now. And the audience applause gives it so much life towards the end. Absolutely nothing bad to say about it.

The single? What?!!! Must have immediately Digisingle of the title song. I've been able to listen to it using a VPN on Apple Music in Atmos. It's already been uploaded in the usual places for these things, a quick Google yields it

God, I've listened to it at least 10 times now. I've never been so excited for a cast recording. With my good headphones and my eyes closed it's like I'm there.
I think when my record comes I won't be seen for days.

A VPN is a network program that changes your network settings to go through somewhere else, in my case I just changed to a country where it's already Friday. I have one already for work reasons so I just used it in this instance to listen to it early. I mean, it probably will be out here at stroke of midnight so not much longer to wait for it to just come up on streaming services here. I just could not restrain myself.

It’s not an OLC, as that was released in 1993, featuring the original London cast.

I randomly woke up about 1am and couldn't get back to sleep so have now listened to the track. God it sounds so good, can't wait for the rest I'd the recording. Incidentally just seen on X footage of Tom doing the "walk" on Broadway and the ensemble are following him along the road.

Having vibes of finding the World Premiere Recording months before the US release in an import store and being able to listen to that luscious score in all its glory for the first time (and then numerous times immediately after). Never before and never since have I found a score that I instantly fell in love with like this one - so hearing this single, hearing the crisp, fresh sound - the beautiful orchestra (as someone else has said, so perfectly done its hard to believe this is a live recording). This fall is going to be one "great day" after another
