With the lottery tickets, are they handing out tickets when people present with their lottery wins? Is there an advantage to being early to get a better seat or has my seat already been secretly allocated?

Has anyone noticed what time this has been finishing for an evening performance recently? I'm going again next Wednesday and just found out my nice comfy 23:05 train has been cancelled! (I know its live theatre and could differ anyway but trying to get an idea of being ready to dash for the 22:30 or saunter to the 23:30!) In my experience it's been finishing around 22:07-17 if you stay for the playout, second act is just shy of an hour if you slip out during bows

But if there is any show to stay through the playout (and I always stay for everything) it’s this one. The closing credits on the screen are a great idea.

I went in previews at the end of September, and loved it, and having followed this thread avidly since then I literally cannot wait to go back on closing night in the new year!
I guess the combination of Sunset and Nicole (despite some of our initial reservations on here) was enough to make me book twice quite early on. I'm front row on the 6th thanks to the keyworker offer so I reckon it'll be a pretty special night. Should also be really interesting to try and spot what's changed along the way.

I think I'm going to stick it out and go for the late train. I'd hate to leave early and end up maybe missing the train anyway or standing on a packed train! I have warned my boss I may not be too awake on Thursday morning.

I've only had to dash out of a show once to catch a train and i felt bad not being able to give a proper ovation (not criticising anyone that does it was just how i felt)

Finally caught this from my early booked, restricted view seats up in the gods (thank god I booked early as others have said!)
I have very mixed feelings about it. Sounds amazing, looks incredible - the use of the big screen with live pictures shot with a filming shallow depth of field is stunning, and many moments work well. I’m lucky though as I’ve seen the show and the movie countless times before. If I wasn’t familiar with the source material I’d have been hopelessly lost - especially in the second act when it became too gimmicky and meta for my liking; I totally bought into the timeless world they created in Act I - even the placing of Norma as some Kardashian has been - but strange, slightly tacky choices like tongue in cheek cardboard cutouts of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the use of a modern laptop in Act II pulled me out of it and made the material feel unimportant with gimmicks and style taking precedent at the expense of any sense or reason.
Overall, in my opinion, it’s enjoyable and impressive as a visual and experimental piece but it fails in simple storytelling, and unfortunately that’s a rather important aspect to be overlooking.

Do we know if there are any sources of remaining tickets besides ATG? (and twickets)?

Do we know if there are any sources of remaining tickets besides ATG? (and twickets)? Crikey, I've just looked at ATG, and bar a single seat in the stalls on Boxing Day, the entire rest of the run is sold out! Given how it was selling when it first opened that's pretty impressive.

I was lucky enough to go this week. It totally blew me away and I'm now really regretting not buying tickets earlier and not going a few times during the run. Given there are no tickets left now, I just feel extremely fortunate I got to see this masterpiece.

Given there are no tickets left now, I just feel extremely fortunate I got to see this masterpiece. I feel EXACTLY the same. I saw the matinee on Thursday and I can't stop thinking about it. I knew absolutely nothing going in which I think made a lot of difference, but what an absolute masterpiece of theatre. Proper, genius level stuff. Sailed straight in to my top 3 of the year, no question. I loved the meta, self-referential stuff, but I also loved Nicole Scherzinger being Norma at 45. Arguably (from what I've read), Norma is usually portrayed as older - but I loved the idea of that radical swing of celebrity that seems to speed up all the time, and I thought Tom Francis was utterly superb as Joe. Absolutely loved it; can't get it out of my head.

Most of the delays have been caused by clearance being given so late because of how long it takes the audience to get in. They were still getting through the queue at 7:32 earlier this week. Nothing to do with Nicole. most recently they were delayed as she was trying on dresses in her room way past 7.30… it most certainly is regularly because of Ms NS. She’s even been spoken to my management and barely speaks to the cast backstage! You’ll notice they finish earlier on a Monday!

Amazing again tonight. Show stop after ‘With One Look’ (presumably for NS to continue trying on the dresses from Shein that she’d ordered but wasn’t sold on yet). From the front row it felt a lot more aggressive & confrontational than the front of the dress. NS (over)acts the sh!t out of this and was terrifying from ‘Who’s Betty Shaeffer’ onwards. This format certainly wouldn’t work for everything but totally does for this show. Not a lot else to say. Tom Francis is a star and deserves to be the breakout from this.

They give clearance late every night because they want to avoid latecomers as much as possible. They publicise that latecomers will not be admitted for the entirety of Act I and that readmittance would not be allowed if anyone left mid-act. From my recent trip, they do still seem to allow latecomers in after With One Look because as much as they want to keep the artistic vision of the show, no one wants to be screamed at by angry patrons who have arrived late! So by starting around 7:40 each night, they hopefully have minimal issues with latecomers. I went to a Rachel night in October and it also started around 7:40, this Nicole gossip seems completely baseless…

It started at 7:40 when I went. One guy in my row left near the end of the first act and wasn't allowed back and then a woman behind me left about 10 mins in to the second act (and obviously wasn't allowed back in), so they definitely seem pretty strict about not allowing people back in once they leave.

Not to doubt your sources but I don't know how true the "barely speaks to the cast backstage" is. She hosted a party for them after the press night week, she invited them over to her house in what she called "Scherzy Saturdays" last week (judging by social media posts of the cast) - more than most leading actors do.

Not knowing who NS is (she's not very well known in Greece where I live--or at least I don't know much about her) and having seen too many plays where cameras are overused and misused, I was very skeptical about this production. I was blown away by the show--and all members of the cast, including NS! Someone was taken ill, I think, at the back of the stalls and the show obviously had to stop. When the stage manager (?) entered to escort NS out of the stage, I honestly (and naively!) thought this was part of the direction!

In one of the earlier performances, a lady left near the interval and was able to get back into the auditorium but not much further than the dress circle doors, just behind where the wheelchair bay is. She had to stand for the remainder of the act which, fortunately for her, was only a few minutes. It was fortunate for me too as she was right in my eyeline - one of those elusive marked down £20 dress circle seats!
They certainly seem to be much stricter now so I doubt she'd even have got back through the doors if the same happened today. I was at today's matinee (for my umpteenth visit!) and they're now sending emails beforehand which make it very clear that latecomers won't be admitted and that there is no readmission, so it's not as if people can claim they're unaware.
Incidentally, this afternoon's audience felt a bit less engaged and certainly more disruptive than it has in previous visits. Perhaps to be expected for a pre-Christmas matinee(!) but the cast themselves were still in sensational form. Scherzinger sounds almost operatic at times.

I like the strict policy. I've got sympathy that once in a blue moon something out of your control happens and you turn up late, lots of people can have unexpected problems mid-act that cause them to leave. Sunset in their upstairs bar seem to have a nice setup of comfortable seats surrounding a big TV streaming the performance for the auditorium, so if you do end up in one of those camps you can still enjoy the show and not disrupt people. Particularly if I was spending £100, £200, £300 for a ticket I don't want anyone interrupting it.

But I saw the person taken poorly - took forever for the show to stop though.

Most of the delays have been caused by clearance being given so late because of how long it takes the audience to get in. They were still getting through the queue at 7:32 earlier this week. Nothing to do with Nicole. This happened on the night I went to see it. The Savoy is TERRIBLE for ingress when numbers reach any decent volume. People were still faffing around finding their seats at 7.29. When I saw it the first time Young Norma came on by 7.25 at the latest (possibly earlier) and just did her thing for the final few minutes of this "pre show" before the show started proper. When I saw it on the 9th, they didn't bring her on until everyone was seated and all the auditorium doors were closed. It was very different. has anyone else experienced this variation? @bvm ? Yes, definitely! At the first preview she came on about 19:10 ish and the more time went on seemed to be later and later. Last time I went it was after 19:30 and most people were seated but still waiting for stragglers. Problem was she came on and everyone went quiet thinking it was starting. Then it didn't. There was then a slightly awkward quiet until a few minutes later people started talking again! As for the late starts in general am sure is due to the chaos of getting everyone seated and has always been the same for me on Mondays as other days. As it's fully sold out now (as opposed to 90% ish earlier in run) plus bags of Xmas shopping, people eating out etc etc - getting everyone in just increasingly chaotic! But yes as the run has gone in it seems to have started later and later!

The remaining ticket prices are EYE-WATERING, aren't they? I'm gutted that I wasn't more forward thinking/understanding of dynamic prices and booked a 3rd or 4th trip. They should have extended (had the theatre been available) - even if it was La Tucker doing another month. Could they have an encore run next year somewhere?!Still praying for this! It seems very unlikely - but the demand is there. Rest of the run now sold out!
