Well it's that time of the year for the sob stories, complaints about Amanda Holdens dresses and Alisha giving the golden buzzer to a rubbish act. One thing that really annoys me though (and he did last year as well) is how Simon exaggerates the number of people in the audience. The Lowry has just over 1700 seats, Palladium just over 2200 but Simon insists on saying there are over 4000 in the audience. We are only on episode 1 and he has done it already. Oh and we have just had a man on stage blowing out candles by farting!!!

You know Britain’s Got Talent is back when you’re left wondering how he blew the candles out when farts are supposed to be flammable… 🤔
I was only half-watching it, but I think the boy magician was the best of the night. Didn’t think the lady who did the Beyoncé song was much cop. And at risk of sounding like a Mailonline poster are we really so short on talent that we need to import acts from abroad?
Not sure about Bruno yet. They’ve gone for someone similarly camp and flamboyant, but it’s the way Walliams refused to take it seriously that I think made the show work. Maybe they should have gone with another comedian?

I do think it's probably getting near its sell by date. Preferred it in the early years when you got as many bad acts as good ones. The sob stories I also find quite grating, but seems to be a theme of so many programmes. I think Bruno will settle in. David Walliams was very predictable and his campness was so unnatural. And his obsession with Simon Cowell was quite creepy.

Simon over exaggerating again. Apparently the Lowry holds 4,000 people. However the young guy singing Stars had a great voice.

The 4000 yeses thing annoyed me too. Was in hysterics when he was grudgingly dragged up to participate in My Blobby’s magic act.

Anyone else sick of the slow motion bits all the way through the acts and then before the obligatory judges standing ovation …. Let me just watch the damn acts in real time if I miss anything I can go back a slow down myself really spoils the dancing acts especially

And how many golden buzzers are we getting? Makes a mockery of having them there in the first place.

And another golden buzzer, that's now 3 extra ones this series. Show has lost all credibility.

I think it just shows the flaw in Golden Buzzers being given out at the time. They should be decided at the judges ‘getting together’ stage…no confetti canons, just the announcement.
