tbf, they only have about 10 national radio stations and 4 or 5 tv channels, and online.

Do I need BritBox to watch from the US, or are they making it available on YouTube as well? No they’re not streaming live for USA/Canada this year which REALLY makes me angry. There’s only a highlights show you can watch on Britbox starting at 5pm EST. The YouTube link will only work outside UK/USA/Canada. hate watching stuff on my computer so i have a VPN, I’ll log in on my laptop and then stream from my laptop to my smarttv. |

Will a VPN work to watch this on YouTube? I’m in the UK I hope so - I set up a VPN just to watch it live. Just don't choose US or UK entry point. Ireland perhaps or France. On a separate note it's absolute BS that they wrap the Oliviers up in this cloak of exclusivity/secrecy. Especially when there are workarounds. I don't really know why they want to deny audiences the chance to watch live. |

I’m in the UK I don't really know why they want to deny audiences the chance to watch live. my guess: What other business has their awards early on a Sunday evening? Obv. none. SOLT does it because the noms are (hopefully) working every other evening of the week. So maybe the problem for UK networks is they have very, very established programming at tea time on Sundays (Countryfile, sport, no idea), and it's not cost effective to distupt that for theatre awards.
Presumably, it makes business sense for ITV to put something out at 22.10.
