I swear Hollywood is running out of ideas.
Looks like a mash-up of Grease and Glee!
Streaming on Paramount + on 6th April.

Considering it’s set in the 50’s a lot of the characters have very modern hair and makeup!
(Also I swore the Pink Ladies in Grease were quite superficial ‘mean girls’ who didn’t accept Sandy at first, rather than an inclusive group of outcasts. Though that might be me not having seen Grease in awhile)

That was kind of in their own minds though, they were more a band of misfit/outcasts and losers who thought they were the bees knees, but were actually a little bit pathetic as were the T Birds. The sequel nailed this fact home even more than the original. |

I have watched a couple of these this weekend. It is set about 5 years before Grease, so, at the inception of the Pink Ladies moniker. It would have worked better without the infrequent songs tbh. Trying to deal with modern issues through the lens of Commie hating 50’s America is very ‘surface level only’ so far. It’s a fun enough watch though.
