A new Sally Wainwright series called Riot Women. Ooooooh, the cast for that hasn't been announced yet. Do you know any of the other actresses that are in it?

I've saw Cate Blanchett in that Torture play at the National and she was the best thing out of a batsh*t crazy production. Not sure we need another production of The Seagull though.

Does anyone know what's going to the Criterion now that Two Strangers has confirmed it is closing on 31st August? Still nothing announced yet for the Criterion. Leaving it late!

So, how are we looking for the rest of the year?
Criterion and @sohoplace have nothing announced after their current shows. Almeida will presumably have a season announcement reasonably soon. What else has a gap?

Royal Court needs a season announcement soon - nothing past 16th November downstairs and 21st December upstairs. Haymarket past 14th December (Godot's scheduled end - might extend, I suppose.)
Then quite a few theatres need to announce shows for January: Trafalgar post-Merchant, Duke of York's post-Barcelona, Pinter post-Macbeth, NT Lyttelton post-Earnest, Noel Coward post-Strangelove...

Slava's SnowShow is the show after Macbeth at the Pinter. I would imagine most of the announcements for early 2025 will be in September and October. So, how are we looking for the rest of the year? I hope there are some really exciting new plays next year, some really good standout dramas (this year has not been vintage so far, I don't think, bar The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Hills of California, Till the Stars Come Down and I'd include Slave Play).
The rumoured Seagull with Cate Blanchett sounds promising and I'm really hoping we'll get Stereophonic and, finally, The Shining with Ben Stiller.

Is there any rumours about what’s coming in after two strangers? It seems awfully late to not have something announced as two strangers closes in three weeks. Same with @sohoplace as death of England finishes in a month.

I walked past the Olympia Theatre yesterday which is under construction and it looks like it is progressing well in terms of building work, I think Autumn 2025 would be a realistic opening timeframe although given the size of the theatre, I wonder what could go there? I was thinking Paddington the Musical or a limited run musical revival.

Paddington would do fine.

Swear on my life every Circle line station has a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice poster. I would be truly baffled if there are ZERO London plans as Mr. B has said...

Same with @sohoplace as death of England finishes in a month. Can't belive the Criterion keeps on leaving it later and later. You'd expect it'll be a show to sell extremely well if they can leave it this soon. Or there'll be a gap of sorts, maintenance maybe?

It will be the first 'dark' theatre in quite a while in the West End. That used to be a common occurrence a few years ago but definitely not in recent years. I emailed the box office yesterday and they had no news of anything, but they didn't mention closing for refurbishment or anything like that either. I don't believe Titanique is due until the end of the year at the earliest?

Just a thought - The Greatest Showman? Would be great, but that's already pinned for Drury Lane So are they assuming Hercules would be mid and are just hoping to recoup SOME of the development cost or what's going on with that? Disney usually doesn't do intended limited runs.
