It was suggested by Baz, no?, that Big could go into the Palladium. Quite a while ago. Was it?! Could well happen but I doubt it would live very long there

@jamescrispy94 Yes it does look quite good actually!! I agree it would be good for a Christmas season. I think if the Palladium doesn't have a new, open-ended show by next Christmas; then the Wizard of Oz could be a good suggestion? It could run from around early November to February? The Wizard of Oz is very unlikely to go to the Palladium, had it been more successful originally then maybe but TBH I suspect a UK tour which is more likely to happen and the fact it didn't tour after the closure in 2012 makes me think there's a slim chance of that happening too.

Also, not forgetting that The Wizard of Oz was very expensive to run!

Could EVITA be doing another limited season?
I've just received my brochure for Sunderland Empire where Evita is playing 4-8 April. Above the ad it says Direct from its West End Triumph. Now I wouldn't say 2 years after it played the west end is direct from anything, so could it be playing a filler season?

Definitely bring back CHESS. The way it was originally done with the huge chess board. Loved that production and saw it's New York production which changed it,for some stupid reason. It lost all impact and had a short run.

KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN a sexy musical that rocks the house. Time to have adult shows back on the boards.

For anybody who has seen Evita before, would you suggest seeing it? The storyline interests me a lot.
I'm hoping they add more venues as I can't catch it at my local one

I had a friend fall asleep at Once. I wish I could have fallen asleep during the London revival of Evita though, it was ghastly. I wish Che had died at the end too, Marti Pellow was incomprehensible and spent the vast majority of the show walking backwards if I remember rightly.

The last (and only) time I've seen Evita was in North Wales a few years ago.
A Saturday afternoon in Rhyl spent watching a Kenwright production of Evita. It doesn't get much better than that.

I think Evita depends on its actors quite a bit. I love the score, i think it's ALW's smartest, and it's lush and interesting- but the book is very difficult to follow if you don't know either the show or the actual history before hand. In the hands of two good leads though (Eva and Che) who are good storytellers, and a good director who knows to pace a show well- it's a terrific show, very thrilling night in the theatre. Bonus points if they have good choreography ha!
On a another note Now i kind of need She Loves Me to be revived (and with those sets!) with a lovely leading lady so I can go see it live!

I am always here for an Evita revival/tour.
I think the pacing is really down to the MD - the score needs some oomph and gusto about it.

what revivals if a show would you like to see back in London. Doesn't matter how long they haven't been here or what show they are.
the revivals I would like are Company,Godspell,Hedwig and the angry inch, sweet charity and My fair lady

A revival, with tracks, of Starlight Express. No 3D races.
Also, Lend Me A Tenor.
I wish I'd seen Miss Saigon sooner, because I'd have seen it again, so I'd like that to come back but the screening and tour will have to do.
