Well Gabriella was simply stunning and amazing as Sandy. Tom The Wanted hasn't really got any better since I saw it in Manchester two and a half months ago. Less said about that the better. For my sins, the train was delayed so I staged doored (sorry) and got a pic with Gabriella. Everyone else was there for Jimmy Osmond or Tom The Wanted and I was like 'lol no first cover Sandy please'.

I'd heard it was a possibility that it could come in after Annie finishes its run in Jan. Tour stops in Dec (so far) but contracts run to March, so would work timing-wise. And obviously the Piccadilly has housed the show before, so no troubles there. But nothing confirmed as of yet.

I remember seeing this years ago with Lauren Samuels as Sandy and loving it. I didn't love it as much this afternoon. Danielle Hope was good as Sandy acting wise but not quite as good as Lauren Samuels vocally. Tom Parker was fine as Danny - did the job but nothing special. Louisa as Rizzo wasn't anything special either, stronger vocals would have helped. The rest of the cast were quite good too and did the best with what they had. Also - I can't believe I didn't realise how weak the plot is before.

When I saw it in Manchester I thought he was okay, nothing special but not dreadful either...yet when I did my Birmingham dash I thought he wasn't great at all.

I made the mistake of going to today's matinee too. Today has to be, without a doubt my worst theatre experience to date, and I include the tour of Wonderland when I say that. However this experience was not due to the performance. Today's audience were the worst audience I've ever sat amongst. Danielle Hope couldn't be heard throughout 'hopelessly devoted to you' and I'm sure I have bruises from the woman next to me continuously swaying side to side and banging into me. This audience has put me off ever returning to the show.

That's fine. I don't mind the first time he comes on but it becomes too much.

Anyone know the runtime of the show? Millenium Centre says 2 hours and 10 minutes at the top of the page and 2 hours 30 minutes at the bottom 🙄

A friend told me last night that the stage door has been an interesting mix of fans of The Wanted and the Osmonds, which to be honest is something I'm almost curious to see!

Hoping that Tom Parker has a fall today and I get the undertstudy tonight after all the stuff I've heard about him on here.

haha true story. I only realised yesterday that I am sat within breathing distance of an Osmond in work. Think of all the fan grannies who are envious.

Saw this last night in Brighton (the final stop as far as I'm aware) Thoughts: Odd staging with handheld microphones for some of the songs, it worked well for Those Magic Changes because it's whats-his-name's fantasy of being adulated, but for Greased Lightning & YTOTIW it got in the way. Danielle Hope is perfect for this role, some lovely high notes hit. I could swear I heard some audience members singing along from Hopelessly Devoted onwards, if that was the case they deserved a slap. Tom Parker acted well as Danny, especially considering this is his first stage role. Good comedic timing on the drive-in scene. Not quite vocally up to it & cut some high notes short in Sandy. Unfortunately Danny is written as a complete arsehole and can't really be anything else no matter how he's played. Very upset they cut Freddy My Love, one of my favourites, meaning Marty had nothing to do. She, Frenchy and Jan along with the interchangable T-Birds made the most of thankless roles. Louisa Lytton's acting felt like a watered-down version from the film, she could have gone a lot further especially with mocking Sandy. Vocally not quite up to it either, notes cut short in TAWTICD when that song's supposed to be the most powerful of the show. Ensemble outstanding, as is often the case with these shows. Charlotte Coggin, Callum Evans & George Olney were particular standouts with George hitting some crazy notes as Teen Angel.

When I saw the tour in Bristol the audience were TERRIBLE. Here is a recording of Danielle trying to sing hopelessly devoted to you. The audience were trying to have a sing off with her.

Kind members of the forum, do any of you own any souvenir brochures or have any photos of the 1990s West End production of Grease?
I am specifically interested in the Prom / High School Hop / Hand Jive scene at the start of Act 2, as I own a few costumes from this scene and would love to find photographs of them on stage.
Sadly, as this production was before the internet really hit off there are next to no images online, especially of this scene! Any help appreciated,
Many thanks
