I dont care either way about Brexit. I just want all the Brexit nonsense over and done with now. I get that it's important, I'm just bored of it.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was actually a good film.

My desire to see a one man Ian McKellen show is ZERO. In fact, it's ZERO MINUS ONE MILLION.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was actually a good film. Not only is it actually a good film, but the extreme condemnation and rejection of it by some online (‘written and directed by 2 people who have never even seen a film before’ is one example from Twitter) is probably because it’s doing it’s job well! It’s clearly intending to muddy up the water about some beloved moral absolutes, and make its audience uncomfortable. People are reacting to that discomfort by rejecting it.

Adele has a dreadful voice. As I can't be bothered trawling through 50 pages I don't know if this got commented on but I just want to say: YES! Overrated or what, and a completely unvarying voice that isn't that good anyway. A few posts later, someone said they didn't get all the fuss about Ed Sheeran; seconded. Ditto George Ezra. I want to hack through the collective neck of every radio station incessantly playing that really incredibly stupid annoying rubbish crappy "see you later alligator" song of his.

I know she's very popular and I bought the first album on spec but gave up in no time as I couldn't stand all the awful glottal stops. If singers can affect a fake mid-Atlantic accent professionally, surely they can at least adopt a less local English one?

One thing that did make me eye-roll at Adele (who I otherwise have no strong opinion on one way or another) was her 'When we were young' song...at age 25...oh sweetie.

I quite like some songs with Adele’s voice on record, but live she is very patchy. That dreary version of Fastlove she did at the Grammy Awards in tribute to George Michael was an insult to the song.

Oh I like Adele. She's got a nice taste in frocks and I admire a woman whose view on hair is "the bigger the better". Someone who can spend all that time back combing AND sell a gazillion albums gets my respect.

I’ve started to resent people I know who just “can’t start the day without my latte”. The worst thing about it is that as a proper tea drinker (not just bags of English Breakfast), none of these coffee chains know how to make a decent cup of anything resembling tea. I've even seen some of those people do this whole routine of acting all weak and juddery while they take their first sip of their lukewarm big foamy load of milk with one molecule of coffee lurking somewhere within, then close their eyes and sigh as though they've just been injected with serum in a sci-fi epidemic film. And don't forget all the melodramatic warnings about how they'll kill someone/turn into the Hulk/etc etc unless they get their LAR-TAY.

I find the almost fetishization of coffee pretty bizarre. The number of people who say they can't live without coffee. Well, I'm 33 & have never drunk coffee so life without it is perfectly viable!

After being seduced by the need to buy over priced, stupidly named coffee why is it when I really fancy a coffee which is usually on my way to the Tube after a trip to the Theatre they are all closed.
With allegedly less young people drinking alcohol am surprised that more don’t match pub hours, could quite easily be tempted to frequent a quiet cafe than a noisy pub when out of an evening.

I like a cup of coffee. I like my coffee with milk. I do not like my coffee with a hefty infusion of pretentiousness, a mock-Italian name and a five-minute preparation time.
I prefer tea. You don't get someone preparing tea with a device that has more nozzles than a space shuttle. You don't need a phrasebook to understand what you're getting.

I don't like McD's but their 'coffee-snobs' ad is pretty good. Never mind that it would never occur to me to go to a McDonalds for coffee. In fact, although I too avoid all the triple-distilled-from-sardonica-beans-grown-at-exactly-118.7-metres-above-sea-level nonsense, I actually do like the sort of bare-bricked naked-light-bulbed mismatched-furnitured shabby-chic places satirised in that ad, but only if they can do me a straightforward good strong coffee, regardless of how much the milk has been stretched/isomerised/sequestered etc.

Just like cake, gin and hot boys who wear tight t-shirts in summer, coffee is one of those things that make life all the more delicious.
I could live without coffee just like I could live with only one eyeball but I don't think I'd want to.
