While there are several projects of the empty theatres photos during the COVID lockdown this one manages to convey the desolation of a deserted west end but also highlights the beauty of the theatres buildings which in normal times you rarely get chance admire.
The complete lack of people in the photos adds to impact. It's a large format book and there are lots of input by a wide but very high profile group of theatrical names, performers, producers, composer's and writers. Troy must have some very good contacts.
YouTube clip gives a guide to the photographic style, a different theatre gift to give this Christmas and recommended, it's wonderful viewing the pictures but also packs quite a poignant touch as it's already seems unbelievable that we had nearly two years of theatrical hibernation.
