Auditions have been happening recently with contracts from Nov 2019 - Nov 2020 so I guess either they’re keeping their fingers crossed or they do plan to extend, just a bit at a time! I went last Saturday and booked for the back row in the Upper Circle hoping for an upgrade...no such luck! Pleased to say i sat in a very full upper circle. Things picking up?

TOUR CAST:
Laura Tyrer playing Violet when Louise & Caroline are not. Georgina Castle playing Doralee Sean Needham (currently Franklin understudy in London) playing Franklin. Lucinda Lawrence (currently Margaret/understudy Violet in London) playing Roz.
Lots of the London company going on tour so looks like there will be quite a big cast change for London.

Sorry but the CRH production was terrible and Burke was terrible in it. I’ll take the original production/tour or nothing thanks. It’s the same logo design & slogan so i would assume it’s the CRH production!

Just thought this was interesting...Caissie Levy replied to a tweet saying ‘i’ll be with frozen broadway until feb 2020’ - thought it was interesting that she’d specifically say ‘Frozen Broadway’ as opposed to just Frozen. She was responding to someone who mentioned the show as "FrozenBroadway", so why shouldn't she? If she hadn't then people would be saying "She said Frozen, but not which production. That must mean she's moving to a different production in November". They only mentioned the show as FrozenBroadway as they were tagging the show. I don’t know, just to me the ‘Broadway’ sounds more precise than ‘Frozen’ in general!

Who doesn’t love a conspiracy...Jessica Vosk’s last show on Broadway today, which should finish around 10pm UK Time! You heard it here first folks.

I wonder who will do Eastbourne and Cardiff. It's only three weeks so doubt they'd get someone brand new. So I guess either Craig, Lesley Joseph (think it clashes with Calendar Girls), Anita, Jodie (think someone said it clashes with A Taste of Honey). Or someone who did it in London? Maybe Miranda or Meera might return?
(Or they just trust an understudy...)

Anyone who's bought Rush tickets through Today Tix, could you tell me which seats you were offered please? (I want to do this in a few days) Stalls Row P! When I clicked it was sold out, but constantly pressing got me in!

Clip of Amber singing on the Christmas Special of All Together Now. I watched this and says an awful lot that Gemma Collins scores higher than her!

Amy Ross last performed st the matinee on the 19th december. Since then Nikki Bentley has been playing Elphaba.
Amy Ross returned last night (28th December) but went off after the interval, guessing she came back too soon. She was replaced by Amy Webb.
As for today - it could be anyone! It always seems to be at the end of every tour Elphabas contract they go (pretty certain it’s happened to all four!)

I feel like this will extend...Natalie McQueen has been posting about ‘another year’ with Seen Needham, who was announced today. My guess is the cast are contracted for a year?

Any info on who’s going in after Burke for those last 8(?) weeks? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Denise Van Outen. With the new announcement of Josefina coming back, it wouldn’t surprise me if Denise took over from Alexandra as she’s played Roxie before and it’s not as much to take over?

Duncan James joins as Billy Flynn (who he played back in 2008) from 10 September I’m guessing that means for the first week of September there will be an understudy on for Billy! Might be a good time to go!

Not sure when this change was put into effect but according to the cast schedule, Karen has now been moved to Wednesday matinees with Moya taking the Saturday matinee. I think all three ladies have had holiday (Moya and Karen last week hence why Nicole was on!) And this week Marisha is on holiday, with Moya doing the evenings so I assume Karen matinees? I reckon the new schedule will start next week...

Josie Walker, Jenna Russell and Joanna Riding strike me as three ladies who should be contenders to star in this. I hope they cast complete unknowns or bring the Broadway leads. The whole reason why this piece works is because the actors feel and look like everyday people. It’s real and raw and in my opinion would be better without any of the names mentioned above. To most though, these wouldn’t be names. Apart from maybe Jenna Russell thanks to EastEnders. Either way - I can’t wait to see this! Hoped to see it on Broadway but never had the chance!

Maria might not want to stay so they would have to get someone else in to replace her. My guessing is that Maria will stay as she will be contracted for a year to cover Carina’s maternity? So her contract will run October-October rather than to cast change?

If anyone follows Amanda Jane Cooper and Jackie Burns (current Glinda and Elphaba on Broadway) they’ve been spending all week talking about ‘something exciting’ that they can’t wait to share.
Jackie has now put up on instagram a story of Amanda recording ‘Popular’ - could we be getting a new recording? Maybe a 15th anniversary recording?

Has Sarah McNicholas come back yet? Hasn’t Rosa been on full time since like July? Surely she should be credited as lead?

So following Broadway and Melbourne where do we reckon this will head next? Do we think it’s possible to tour as I know with big shows they like to get a US tour out!
