Call me sceptical, but I swear most of these people are just queuing for attention. They want their best friends in the cast so see how passionate and supportive they are because they're willing to queue for 48 hours on a dingy street If someone wants to see a particular performance so badly, buy a bloody ticket, there's plenty of good cheap seats in advance. I'm in the front stalls for £30 something, and I'll be going to the show after a good night's sleep and a warm shower. [/rant] if they had a friend in the cast they would not need to day seat this early to impress anyone

thought you only get day seats on the day of the show? how can they get the front row day seats today?

tbh don't like the photos off Sophie as Glinda at all, one of the first Glindas in ages where i would say the wig and everything does not suit her at all

I have quite a few thoughts after watching that video. To start, she talks about not being able to be out at stage door having conversations with 50-60 when she has a show the next day, well why can't she just have a photo or sign something with every fan and then move on? I don't think many people expect any more than that. Out of experience, I'd have thought that most teenagers are too socially-anxious to even speak to their idols (I could hardly squeeze out "you're a great Glinda" to Suzie Mathers the second time I met her and she's hardly my absolute idol). There could easily be a system (a sign maybe) saying that Carrie will either sign a programme/photo/forehead/whatever after the show or have a selfie and then move on, I think most if not all fans would be satisfied with that, that's all they want from her. There was a similar system to what I described above with Rachel Tucker on her last weekend at Wicked; on the Friday show anyway her husband walked out in front of her saying "please have phones ready to take pictures and programmes out for autographs" so that she didn't get too cold. But despite that, she still spent time listening to girls pouring their hearts out about heartbreak and who knows what (🙄) and made sure she saw everyone. Also Sheridan Smith, I heard that she came out of the stage door at Funny Girl after her first performance back from her absence, the poor woman had been off with stress and exhaustion, coping with her extremely ill dad and all the sh*t those stupid tabloids had been writing about her but she still came out, spending lengthy amounts of time with each fan and even hugging them as she does each night. It needs to be said too (I haven't seen The Addams Family or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang so this is just me assuming sorry) that Elphaba and Fanny Brice are a lot more challening than Wednesday Addams and Truly Scrumptious, I can't think of many roles more challenging than Elphaba and Fanny to be honest. Of course I'm not saying she should come out of stage door every night just because Rachel and Sheridan did, she doesn't owe anyone a stage door experience and it's not part of her job but she should maybe look at those women and how they deal with stage door. Finally, I agree with people who have said it all seems a bit like she's seeking attention. I believe Amber Riley doesn't stage door very often at Dreamgirls after her pneumonia scare which is completely understandable but the difference is when people tweet her about not coming out (which I'd have thought they did, she has a big fanbase of young girls (and boys) because of Glee) she doesn't reply. She ignores and I think this is best. Taking into account that Carrie has already covered this topic numerous times on video/tweets, it does seem this is getting attention seeking now. Sorry for this really long and boring post, just wanted to write my opinion somewhere. And sorry if I've upset any Carrie fans, I do respect her as a performer and respect that she shouldn't have to stage door at all if she doesn't want to. you would not believe what those young girls all talk to her about - when i was at the Les Mis SD, i just wanted a quick photo and be on my way, and for her to have her break between the saturday shows, and there were so many teenage girls waiting - everyone was shoving others away and from the about 30 girls waiting i think a third had to tell her their life story, what problems they have in life and how her videos helped her - i gave up waiting, also because i thought she should finally grab something to eat - why telling a (well) stranger your problems? i bet Carrie is not really interested in 30 peoples problems every day - also, other "normal" SD-goers had no chance to really get a photo or autograph

saw 42nd street last weekend and i really loved it the only thing that bothered me was the applause -why the hell does the actress playing Peggy not get the last applause the is the star of the show? instead the old diva gehts it , who barely is on stage

i saw Adam as Javert, and i did not like it. Not a fan of his voice at all, he always stood out in the ensemble with his deep voice and i did not like it at all, even in the small part when he is Bambatois , but even less as Javert

And it's getting worse. I was watching Disney's Hunchback recently and the aerial scenes made my stomach go over 🤢 then you better not watch TArzan with all the jumping and flying through the theater

I will never get this - why make a fan-account for someone you never met or never seen on stage? this happened at Les Mis before too, and i never got it

sooo, does the Phantom Video they tweeted mean the 3 of them will perform together or is it "just" the announcement?

Sophie doesn't look like she has a funny bone in her body. She has a lovely voice from what I remember but I really can't imagine her bringing much humour to the role I'm sure she has demonstrated she has in auditions. I doubt the producers are just hoping for the best! 😂 bet they took her because she was in TV once and has enough fans, that seems to be enough demonstration some days
