I thought the same about the furniture episode. Also did anyone notice the nod to the early days of Corrie last week when the 3 old ladies were in the Rovers drinking milk stout and gossiping. Anyone old enough will remember the days of Ena Sharpness, Minnie Caldwell and Martha Longhirst doing the same. It was Ena Sharples!. Yes even my husband who says he isn't interested in Corrie mentioned the famous 3.

Last night they checked bags but not the tickets. We had ours on our phones ready to show and no-one was interested! We had booked £15 gallery seats before casting was announced. OK you were in the room where this massive show happened and you can't really complain for £15 BUT I could barely see anything due to first the decision to extend the stage over the orchestra pit so anything at the front of the stage was completely obscured as the theatre is perfectly designed to see the front of the stage and not the orchestra pit. Second, we had two of the tallest people sat in front of us who constantly fidgeted and leaned forward. SO.... for the second half we VERY cheekily upgraded ourselves to an unoccupied Upper Circle BOX!!! This was very obvious and the ushers did notice but did not remove us! So, my advice is if you can't get a deal on a good seat - just upgrade yourself - but perhaps not to a box. There were quite a few empty seats last night - mostly at the side of the dress and upper circle although it was busy - stalls and gallery full. It's very easy to go down a level (or two) at half time. Sounds like not only will I not hear anything [ due to my deafness as well as the sound problems mentioned here] but I am unlikely to see anything either.

3 cheers for us oldies! I don't know how to cut & paste so asked librarian. She was young-ish. She said it wouldn't work as there was something wrong with what I was trying to paste. After her exit I asked the old gentleman on the next computer to me. He did it right away! Sorted.

They are starting to put details up about this year's event. I see they are finishing both days at 5pm whereas in other years it ended at 6pm.

My first west end show! And there are enough charismatic young men to play Billy Fisher at the moment. Those of you touting "Brigfriggindoon" need to have a good talk to yourselves. Trite rubbish with one song, but that's just my opinion. Not so much a revival but a first showing in the West End of a previous Broadway hit, so it is a revival of sorts - " The Boy from Oz". I won't mention who I would cast as Peter Allen or you'll likely come round and break me windows!!!! I think Charlie Stemp would be a great Billy. I never saw the original but have the vinyl.

An aside not about the production. On entering I was told I couldn’t bring in a bottle of cola. I could only bring in water. I replied that this was not the case for 8 previous shows in the ENO’s 17/18 season I had been to. The reply was that it is a musicals only policy! I said I would drink it as I wandered in and was told this was OK. Of course I kept it till later. I noticed quite a few others had got drinks through. Thanks for the warning.

Was logging on to have a moan about Valued opinions again. Tried to claim an Amazon voucher & they sent me a link instead of the code. - absolutely useless. It has happened to other people too. Awaiting reply to email. [Others are saying they are getting no reply.] Now this site is playing up. I keep getting a message saying it's offline.

This is a musical I'd like to see. I lived overseas when it was at the Dominion so never got to see it but I did have the French recording on minidisc and really liked the music. Minidiscs, strange little things weren't they. Still have all my minidiscs & recorder alece10

The best Esmerelda was the understudy later in the run. I can't remember her name but seem to remember she was possibly Swedish. Camilla Bard! I loved Tina Arena. She wasn't so hot on the acting front but she looked like she should have been captured in a painting and that voice of hers was (still is) a thing of absolute wonder! Yes Ryan it was Camilla Bard.

^ Well I hope you're ashamed of yourself... Because I dare say that Tina Arena was NEVER part of our thespian traveller community... She wasn't the best by far. The best Esmerelda was the understudy later in the run. I can't remember her name but seem to remember she was possibly Swedish. Ian Pirie was the best Quasimodo, Bruno Pelletier & Luck Mervil were excellent. Dean Collinson was terrific. Fred Johansan was best Frollo. I saw lots of different cast members. - Also saw John Partridge standing just inside the stage door wearing nothing but a very very small towel!

Hello dear theatre board, I would like your advice on TodayTix credit issue. I went for a weekend to London to see a few shows and when I try to order some tickets through the app I discovered my credit had disappeared. I had more than $300 on my account. I contact TT but they just said that I violated there T&C and there is nothing I can do. Do you have any advice what should I do? It feels like a scam from TodayTix side. Extremely disappointed. A lot of us have had that happen to us.
