The two halves of my Galaxy Easter egg weren't firmly stuck together. Oh no, worse...somebody had managed to 'finger' my egg.
And by that, I mean someone had stuck their finger through my egg thus smashing it into 7 pieces. The box was fully sealed though so me thinks someone in the factory thought they'd have a bit of fun and ruin this 44 year old's pressie. I'm gutted. And I feel an email coming on too!

Sanded down garage door, front door and meter cupboards today, right handed. And as I'm left handed, it wasn't pretty to watch, it looked all crack-handed! I broke a finger on my left hand a couple of weeks ago swatting a fly in my lounge (hate flies so it had to go. Swatted, missed and finger came down hard on the sideboard. Big pain). Tomorrow the painting starts. Not me though, I'll be on tea making duty and providing chat, support and encouragement for my partner!

More of curious behaviour. Many times people sit down for ages and then 30 seconds before curtain up decide to struggle out of their coats. At matinee today a teenage girl decided just before the start that it was time to struggle out of her bra. Not sure why, but it's clearly made her nice and comfy as she looks like she is falling asleep! Highlight of my day, getting my bra off! That and putting my jimjams on. Heaven!

It was rubbish. I have a stinking cold. Work was stupidly busy and despite the 5 of us working our absolute arses off, we still finished the day 60 cases more in our group inbox than the start. A racing pigeon (who we named Ringo) that took up residence at ours in September and has eaten in the garden and slept on our roof here every single day/night since, has mysteriously decided to sleep elsewhere and only sometimes eat the gourmet platters we put out for him every day. Coh and I came home to an empty house after said crappy day at work.
However, on a much more positive note (so you don't think I'm feeling at all sorry for myself 😉) this week we're seeing Sue Perkins, Hacksaw Ridge at the flicks and then off to Crufts on Saturday to cuddle lots of dogs and watch my friend show her dogs in the ring.
So it's not all bad!

Bloody awful.
And what's with the blond lad's excessive out breath after each sentence or word?
They need to go home now.

We've read it so many times in this thread but yet again...
At Evita last night in Bristol, a family of four took their seats behind us. I instantly feared we'd be in trouble and I was right. Whilst Dad sat there focussing solely on the show, Mum, the children or all three and spent their time kicking and knocking the back of the chair whilst constantly shifting in their seats. Mum also gave them a whispered running commentary of what was going on. And any periods of silence was soon interrupted by the 7-ish and 9-year old loudly whispering a request to know what was going on, to comment on one of the performers, etc etc, blah blah BLAH
After half hour or so, one child decided he was bored senseless so spent his time draped over the empty chair next to me whilst huffing and puffing in my ear. The other child persisted in asking questions and Mum continued with her commentary.
Neither of us wanted their bad manners to spoil our evening out so at first we tried to ignore them and focus on the show. When that didn't work, we sat back forcefully, pushing the back of our seats after one of the many kicks and knocks. When that didn't work, we took to turning/spinning around and glaring at Mum. As there were people all around us, it was the usual situation where you don't want to be the one causing a nuisance to others by talking, hence the non-verbal communication from us. Anyhoo, by that time it was the interval so we packed our things up and moved to the middle of a section of unoccupied seats. Nobody behind, beside or in front. Perfect! But not before i spoke to an usher standing right next to the family and telling her loudly that we needed to move seats due to the parents behind us being so obnoxious and selfish.
I just don't understand it, I really don't.

Saw this last night and once again, we both left grinning!
Never seen Emma Hatton before and she was very good. A teenie bit riffy and jazz hands-y early on but she soon remembered her character. Her voice is really strong and she's got a lovely tone to it, none of this 'singing down nose' that so many professionals seem to do and her portrayal of Eva was spot on.
Gian Marco Schiaretti as Che was fab - he sings, he acts and he's gorgeous to boot! Such a good Che and such a relief he wasn't Marti Bloody Pellow.
The orchestration has been tweaked a bit since the last tour but still cracking and in no way did it detract from this fabulous show...unlike the idiot family sitting behind us 😡 but I'll leave that for my post in Bad Behaviour.

Except we want turbans. Sue TURBANS! We DO want turbans. We want lots of turbans. We want turbans everywhere! What super news - this really has brightened up my horrible day at work. Thank you! (Would I be pushing my luck if I said I also want La Close as understudy/alternate?...not that I'm bitter and still cry myself to sleep at nights).

I was musing about the great celluloid couples Tracy and Hepburn Astaire and Rogers Powell and Moy Bogart and Bacall who else? The energy comes from the female and the male is more reserved. This pair have a while to go before they join that list, but the dynamic is the same? In this way it’s very old fashioned because I believe in the couples above the male is somehow more …serious?…profound?…wiser? Whatever, they get their way in the end. IN La La Land he follows his dream and she goes off to be a working mother. (Please tell me if you think I’m reading too much into this.) Morecombe and Wise!

What about Sue ? Are you in? Booked Bristol this morning! Row Y in stalls unfortunately-it'd been selling very well long before casting had been announced-but so glad we're going! And by the sounds of it, very strong casting to do credit to such lovely music and lyrics. Roll on February! What about you BurlyBear-I guess you wont be resisting?!

No! For once I'm gonna hold off until I know who exactly the 'star' casting has whipped up for us. If it's Pellow...well you know how I feel about him. Madelena Alberto as Eva for me was just magical so I'd hate to spoil my memories of her by seeing (potentially) some numpty having a go.
I regularly book tickets for shows before knowing who I'll be seeing but not this time!

Jeepers creepers can you really rehearse a show in that sort of time? Unless they bring back someone who performed it recently... Madalena Alberto? I'd be all over that one for sure but for some reason, I don't think she'd do it again. Thanks all, for your replies so far - please keep looking out for me and post anything you hear x
