Guys, please. Mods closed the ATG thread for a reason. Can we please not derail this thread into another. Thank you! And thanks realmissbarnaby for your work.

Completely forgot that I use a different email to my main one for Nimax. Was due to see City of Angels on Tuesday just gone but hadn't heard anything - no big deal. But just checked my secondary email and there it was! They had messaged me so I’ve applied for a refund. Hopefully even though it's backdated they'll still process it. If not, hopefully my £20 will be put to good use!

Ok so slightly obscure question but someone may know...... I was looking on YouTube at broadway shows and stumbled upon a bootleg thread. I understand they can’t “advertise” what the shows are so why do so many of them call themselves “slime tutorials”?! It's probably not wise for me to be explaining it but it's a way of disguising the title video so it doesn't get picked up on and deleted, seeing as bootlegs aren't legal. Slime tutorials are/were genuinely a big thing for kids to make their own fake slime/goo to play with at home so it's just something the bootleg community latched on to. If this is info that shouldn't be out there - please feel free to delete haha

Only just seen this - very sad news!! I always used TM's website for tips on seating, day seats and even directions to a theatre! So to be able to interact with him on here was a true pleasure. As others have said, hope he's OK and will be sorely missed. Open arms and ripe bananas await should he ever return.

Ok this is interesting (playing it fast and loose with the word here, but we are on lockdown after all) - I’ve only ever eaten crumpets with sweet toppings i.e jam, peanut butter, Nutella. But after reading this thread, am I missing out here?!?

Thank you poster J , Someone in a tree and theatreian - good to know I wasn't being overly neurotic about it, but I agree! The Chris Whitty Coronavirus update is on TV so much, it's hard not to notice the line “do not meet anyone outside of your household, even family and friends” so as long as you know you are personally following the rules, you can only gently nudge others to do the same, but they have to make up their own minds I guess!

A friend of mine said they were planning to go and visit/stay with their other half for a few days before starting a night shift at a supermarket. I really don't want to start an argument in the friendship or tell two people they shouldn't be together but I did text pretty casually/politely to ask whether they think it's a good idea. I hope it was the right thing to do, it was just playing on my mind.

I, Tonya has been added to Netflix if anyone hasn't seen it! A tough watch at times but I thoroughly recommend it.

Having seen them both live, Curtis could potentially have what it takes to become a presenter. He's charming, likable and can be pretty funny at times. AJ no chance. He's currently really hopeless at hosting. Cringey and painfully unfunny at times. They're both pretty wooden and unsure at the moment, though maybe if they were scripted they'd be better but neither of them are particularly good at off-the-cuff yet.

Keep trying, Mark! Make sure you're emailing support@ - they emailed yesterday re OFAH that I was due to see tonight and that I’d be getting a voucher. Asked if I could switch voucher to refund instead and they said to do it when you get the voucher through and send them the order confirmation number. I got no response about a Waitress refund email that I sent last week, so resent it yesterday whilst they were replying quickly with the confirmation code and they said they'd process it ASAP and I got the refund in my bank account today.

Haven't heard back from them yet but just an update, seems that TT have updated their T&C's regarding cancellations and they now say that they will offer the voucher but if you want a refund, then you can contact support via the web form and they will process it.

Says John Williams not John Wilson on my EPG! God my eyesight is getting worse. Thanks the correction. I'm sure its still worth a watch. Haha just didn't want you to get disappointed! From what I remember, I enjoyed it but was surprised at how little I knew beyond the famous movie themes.

Well I've tried emailing support@ too to see if it works as I would also prefer a refund on my Waitress tickets as opposed to a voucher. I have tickets booked via TT for OFAH later in the month too but I’ll wait until they contact me about the voucher until I ask again.

^ Like I said, it was in no way directed at you (I really enjoy your posts on this board), it applies to those who love things too and I’ve definitely been guilty of it - just if there are any ways to make the internet a nicer place then let's do it! Your reply obviously demonstrates what a nice person you are anyway so I’m preaching to the choir but who knows who might see it 😁

This isn't directed at you xanady but this has reminded me of what I really, really hate about the internet and opinions now. It's not just “I don't like this thing”, “oh, I like this thing” anymore. It's “I don't like this thing.....and because of that, everyone who does like this thing is obviously either mad or inferior” - and vice-versa of course. Just an observation!

This is a good deal!! I just had a look and the seats I booked for this via the todaytix London theatre week deal were still £5 cheaper each than with this 50% deal so I would also check out that on todaytix if you wanted a deal for this show (also says something about the extortionate prices for this show in the first place!) It has to be a seat at or near the centre of the front row of the stalls for me to make a repeat visit to any show. Don't have a problem with high stages, reduced legroom or conductor in view. I also won't book further back in the stalls than row C for a first visit to a new musical. Todaytix certainly have some good deals, especially the Rush tickets which my son books regularly, but I favour the promotions "powered by ingresso" as they have the full seating plans to choose from. Aah yes that's a good point! I needed some aisle seats for this and luckily by pure coincidence todaytix offered some up but I do agree on the whole I prefer to book via a plan, too

I feel like Stine and Stone the way I’m going backwards and forwards with myself as to whether to go with front row or O7 for this. Both £20.....it's a tough life!!! I was a bit like this but I just went for front row because you can hear the actors voice so clearly without microphones and normally it’s all more louder front row, I don’t think you can beat being so close to them even if you might miss a few seconds then it’s still worth being so close in my opinion I like your thinking!!

Lovely post Dawnstar! Glad it brought back such nice memories for you, even if some changes weren't to your taste! With the “sign of the G” line from Garica, it garnered a huge laugh from the audience and almost an applause - personally I think that's one of the lines anyone could get without seeing a full production. Zorro is such a famous character and is completely is synonymous with cutting a 'Z' into a tree/the air/a person etc (Shrek 2 makes loads of jokes out of Puss In Boots which you may or may not have seen, a Zorro-like feline voiced by Antonia Banderas who played Zorro in the film Mask of Zorro), so I don't think you need any backstory to understand the joke Garcia is making!

What do people feel about mid-show standing ovations? They've begun to creep in with show-stopping performances such as Imelda in Gypsy (after Rose's Turn) and Amber Riley in Dreamgirls (after And I Am Telling You...). Groups of people stood up after Stars and BHH in the Les Mis concert, too. There were also a few standers after Ricardo Afonso performed the 11 o'clock number Senor in Zorro over the weekend - but is it any different in a 'proper' concert performance setting (not like Les Mis)?

£45 stalls tickets for me and my parents to Only Fools and Horses in March. Are you me?? Am I you?? I also bought £45 stalls tickets for me and my parents to OFAH in March! 😂 Got some £15 tickets to see Sara and Gavin in Waitress, too. Gonna try the Evan lottery so will hold out. Wanted something cheaper than £35 for City of Angels but all the cheaper tickets are in horrendously restricted view seats (which is basically the entire Garrick Theatre but still). I think that's all I’m bothered about for the mo. A brilliant deal!!

From images on social media, it seems “the Brilliant Original” is going on tour with a much smaller orchestra. Happy to see live strings and woodwind, but no sign of trumpets or trombones - they seem to be replaced by three keyboards. Whilst this was probably completely expected, I can’t deny that I’m growing more and more disappointed by the day. In the pics I think you're talking about (on twitter?) I can see a French horn I think, behind the woodwind? And a chair next to her that seems empty so that may be another brass player - also some woodwind players may double? Surely it can't just be one French horn....I've no idea though! But Phantom has the largest orchestra in the west end (27 I think? That or thereabouts) so it would've been a big ask to have that size on tour haha
