And when a dance piece wins with pre recorded musical then you know you have issues I dare say the issues were with the nominating committee and their biases, not the show. CONTACT was an interesting dance piece but not in any way a 'musical' and the other nominees were duds. It may not have been GYPSY, but when a successful show wins best score but gets no nod for top prize in a truly craptastic season? I smell a rat. History repeated itself in 2014 when Jason Robert Brown's score for BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY won best score but was denied a nomination in another lacklustre season. It doesn't add up.

I saw clips of Contact it looked thrilling It certainly had its moments. But not a note of it was sung or played live so to consider it a musical and throw prizes at it seemed silly. It felt more like a play with pre-recorded music.
