This is a very interesting choice! If we’re going to have a slew of movie-to-stage adaptions I’m glad people are taking risks by doing movies like this one.
Lesbians are having a very good couple of years in musical theatre!

I'm not particularly excited about this - from the MTFest showcase, I recall it being like an attempt to re-create the style of Legally Blonde/Heathers with not much attention paid to the quirks of the film. Also that artwork is really horrid. But yes I agree with the above - it's good to see Paul Taylor-Mills carry this project through to a full production.

Going for the Heathers vibe? Definitely. The MTFest cast included Carrie Hope Fletcher and Jamie Muscato. Looks good, but the £32 single price point is off-putting, especially when comparable sized venues charge much less for their shows. |

Good luck in selling this. Ive heard positive things about a recent cheerleading doc on Netflix but I suspect they are poles / pom poms apart |

I'm not super familiar with But I'm A Cheerleader, but is she playing a teenager again? Because that didn't work in Heathers so I don't think it's going to work now... |

WAIT... a quick look at that movie's wikipedia page has told me that there actually was a workshop for a musical version of it in 2007 that never went any further... have I predicted the next Turbine musical..? |

I do like Jodie Steele but it's the other Jodie I'm more thrilled to see in the cast! Not that I know anything about this show.

Not familiar with the film, but Lemuel Knights was great in What’s New Pussycat? So it’s him I’d want to see this for.
On the subject of 90’s teen movie musicals, I’d have thought it’s only a matter of time before he brings back the Cruel Intentions musical they did in Edinburgh, especially as he’s got two theatres on the go now.
