One night concert production coming to the Coliseum in February next year. Judging by Twitter I think Rachel Tucker may be taking on the lead.

I would totally be game for this! Discovered this show due to my love of SJB, so would be really interested to hear it in person, though I'm not sure how it would work in a concert format!

“Star-studded”? Not to sound bitchy but... when will they announce the stars?
P.S. I ADORE Rachel Tucker.

No thanks, once was more than enough. What felt like 5 hours of my life that i'll never get back.
The music for Queen Elizabeth is ridiculous. Rah Rah, Tip Top!! 2 or 3 good songs and thats about it.

Remember feeling a but meh about the CD but love CMS's other MT compositions so much that feel should see this, if only to "tick off," support a composer I love, and see if there has been development/rewrites since the Broadway original.
As it's a one off (and at the ENO where producers like to charge the earth for semi staged) am expecting bonkers pricing..... The Tucker fangirls are another concern though not sure this is really their bag.

It's the same night as the Zorro concert at Cadogan Hall, could be a tough choice for some!

It's the same night as the Zorro concert at Cadogan Hall, could be a tough choice for some! Yes, I'm very hacked off. I've wanted to see The Pirate Queen since hearing the cast recording when it was on Broadway & now I can't because I'm already booked for Zorro (which nothing short of severe illness/death is going to make me miss). Why on earth don't producers of these one-off concerts check what else is on before selecting dates? If you want to fill a theatre the size of the Coliseum then don't choose a date where several hundred of your protential audience are already booked elsewhere.

Someone convince both shows to put matinee performances on as well, then everyone's a winner 😀

Some good moments, but honestly, the treatment of the Queen Elizabeth character and her music wouldn't be out of place in a Carry On film. Really cheap and tacky.

Not possible for me datewise, but one show I am absolutely unexcited about.

Tickets 'from £35', to sit at the top of the Coliseum. Yikes. I want to see this but not that badly...

Hate to be THAT person, but have you seen the stalls ticket prices for this!?
Have had to go rear circle, which at the Coliseum with the circles only starting at the rear of the stalls is a looooong way away!

I get that it's for charity but £200/£250 seems a bit mental!

It's the same night as the Zorro concert at Cadogan Hall, could be a tough choice for some! From " Wow ! Must book that" to " Oh No, of all the Sundays..." in 10 seconds flat. Zorro already booked so can't be done for me, alas. Slight consolation is that the Coliseum is my least favourite London venue for musical theatre and pricing is always top end at least to start.

With Tucker in this I was very tempted, but have also booked for Zorro. Ticket prices made my mind up. Agree that even for a charity performance this is pretty ridiculous.

As much as I love Rachel Tucker, I'm not paying £250 for this, and the Coliseum is a barn so I don't really fancy sitting at the back.
I'm not so desperate to see this that I need to book immediately (and am also still tempted by Zorro), so I'll wait and see what offers turn up if I don't end up being on holiday that week anyway!

Totally Elitist pricing. Sad really. There is an audience for a concert like this, but they sure aint gonna be paying £90 for the upper circle.

At least the prices for this make me feel that the £62.50 I paid for 2nd row stalls for Zorro isn't so bad by comparison!

I'm not paying these prices, but down the line a bit which should one pick if they haven't seen either Zorro or The Pirate Queen but are interested in both? I'm a big Les Mis and Miss Saigon fan, but Zorro sounded very exciting.

I'm a big Les Mis and Miss Saigon fan, but Zorro sounded very exciting. If you can get to Manchester, you could do Zorro at the Hope Mill and then you're free for Pirate Queen. That's what I might do 😀

This is selling so badly I am actually wondering if they are gonna have to cancel it.
No idea how they are gonna fill the ENO.
if does go ahead gonna be slightly peeved to have bought a full price ticket - it surely will have to discount like mad.
