If they’d brought back Josefina Gabrielle, Rebecca Thornhill and Joanna Riding again- I would have paid any money. This cast? Nah. This is the thing - reunion concerts are great. The carousel reunion concert for Janie Dee and Jo Riding was great because they both could still do it! All three of those could definitely still do Eastwick...

All I can hear in that video is CHF overpowering the other two. She needs a volume switch to blend properly

I’m an American who loves “eastwick”
Those three. Very pretty singing. Boring as hell.
No distant voices. Just blah.
Aside from Emily Skinner most US productions have sucked

I for one really enjoyed the version of Make Him Mine that was released yesterday. I’ve loved everything I’ve seen from previous productions of the show and am looking forward to seeing it on Monday. People have to realise that your opinion isn’t a fact. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s bad.

After you're on here a while, you find which people's posts you agree with and which you don't, and tailor your judgement to comments based on their credibility. There's some quality posters on here who I seem to always agree with, and when they say something is good I'll book, or something is bad I'll skip it. I trust certain poster's views here far more than any critic, whose review often shares advertising space with the very show they are meant to be impartially critiquing. Whatsonstage, I'm looking at you.

Editorial process. What a reviewer writes and what ends up published is often very different! WoS have a shocking reputation for their reviewing transparency (among other things)

Maria and Laura were interviewed on The Curtain Up Show this afternoon & there was talk of reinstating Loose Ends on Monday night - fingers crossed! If anyone is interested the interview is being repeated on Sunday at 9am on Resonance FM.

Did they not confirm it then just said it was a possibility?

WoS have a shocking reputation for their reviewing transparency (among other things) Got any examples or are you spouting hearsay… Doesn't work. The whole process is based on opinion. Before I trained in theatre and worked in the business, I was a relatively successful theatre blogger. For years, I sat next to critics from other blogs, theatres, newspapers very often. I saw very famous and "credible" critics leave at the interval (after our free drinks and nibbles) and give 4-5* reviews. You can call me a liar or whatever, it doesn't matter, like I said above - the key thing is credibility.

Yeah that doesn’t really amount to proof of any malpractice. What would be proof? It's like talking to Oliver... Evidence of review tampering or editorial bias based on advertising. Adspend and commercial connection is present across all sites - time Out, etc. Note, for example, ATG is sponsoring The Stage Debut Awards this year - does that mean all of the stage’s reviews at ATG venues are now called into disrepute?

Back to the real topic - John Partridge is excellent casting and would love him to do a new full-scale production.

No news of a recording, and I think it’s unlikely (though would love to be proved wrong!) - they did mention that the show has been tweaked, and I assumed this was in addition the many changes made after London. Also ‘a big orchestra’ which is fantastic news!

Went down a WOE wormhole on YouTube. Hadn’t seen this before. Maybe this is as close as we get to a reunion. A few original faces, Sarah Lark, Caroline Sheen, Peter Joback and Jo Riding. As well as new faces Claire Machin and Claire Moore. Also, they’ve missed a trick not casting David Bedella. He looks amazing. Starts at 01.02 hrs.

That is a great little tribute A professional / archival recording of the whole of the Australian production (more or less the same staging as at the Prince of Wales, with some extra dance breaks) is also on YouTube, though sadly the sound cuts off after ‘The Glory of Me’… In concert news - pictures from today’s sitzprobe are appearing on Twitter…

I think the interview was pretty-recorded so there’s still hope!
