Did I miss a Funny Girl reference? Where was it? During act two when Cinderella and the puppet (Sam?) were on the bench in the forest. Sam said to Cinderella "oh you are a funny girl" How we laughed.

Well they all look amazing, I wish Amanda had more of a big fairytale style dress than the one she still looks great, Paul looks fierce! Also, are we calling Natasha by her inital name Natasha J Barnes or are we calling her Natasha Barnes? I kinda liked calling her Natasha J Banres, makes her more individual.

Lee Mead has been doing panto since 2012, so he's hardly a newbie either. And on the work front generally he was in Casualty from 2014, which films a big portion of the year so he's hardly been sitting at home in his pants! And he's pretty and he can sing and act so I'll settle for that as a Panto prince! Now that I'd pay good money to see....

I can't be the only one wondering where Julian Clary got that outfit and whether I could order it in time for my Christmas party . . . ?

QDos have such a clever business model really. I know the panto season is short these days, but all the fixed costs of sets and costumes can be spread over several (many) seasons in various cities around the country. This Palladium show (if it new and I believe it is) will appear next year in Birmingham or Bristol along with other celebs in the costumes. The sets (if they are "simple but effective") will have been designed to into other theatres around the country and not tailor made for the Palladium.
I go to pantos quite regularly and have seen the same sets and costumes for years!

Birmingham have Cinderella next year so yes, I would imagine that this will be the version they get!

Julien Clary could wear his costumes all over again and Lee Mead for that matter. I can't see Paul O Grady doing it again.

Was reading Baz's column and it the show will tour, didn't know that meant just play in one city The way that Qdos pantos work is that they play one theatre for the whole festive season, and then each year they're swapped about, with a new one added to the circuit every couple of years. So the Palladium Cinderella will go to Birmingham next year, and then onwards in the years after that.

I'm sure that's how most Christmas musicals and pantos work as a business model, White Christmas used the same sets and costumes for years in different cities so it could make money from a short season

The Cinderella pantomime has been (and still is) touring for years, so does this mean they intend replacing the sets, "magic", costumes etc with the new ones?

The way that I envisage it (which of course may be wrong) is that this version won't be the only Cinderella that Qdos have doing the rounds, there's normally a couple each year. This is the one that will play the Birminghams and the Southamptons and the Glasgows and the other venues that can take the biggest of their productions, but their "other" productions of Cinderella will continue.

Seeing this tomorrow evening and have to admit that as a grown man I am ridiculously excited! Is this wrong? Should I seek medical assistance?

QDos tweeted that it was running at 2.45 - in an effort to contradict the 3 hour marathon word of mouth.

To be fair, that clip is a few seconds long and the sound quality (and balance) is terrible, so it's difficult to tell anything from that, even when using headphones to listen (as I was).

Quentin Letts in the The Daily Mail writes....
"Prince Charming is played by Lee Mead, running to podge a little but still blessed with a lovely head of curls and those Bugs Bunny upper teeth"
and he's meant to be a serious critic, but then he does write for The Daily Mail....
