There's already a Team Laura Pick Twitter, probably the same people who run the 64334 other fan pages. I thought the idea of a fan page was you see a performer, you like them and if you really really like them you may think of setting up a fan page. I don't see the point of setting up a fan page of someone who has just joined a show and that you haven't seen perform yet. What's the point? If I recall correctly the Team Laura Pick account appeared around 5 minutes after it was posted here that it hadn't been taken. That was back in the day of the announcement...

These fan pages just tweet, retweet and follow each other, although that is essentially just tweeting and retweeting and following themselves as all no doubt run by same person or small group of people.
The tweeting the performer and telling them they "smashed it" and "best ever" and the obligatory response of "thanks guys" is about as exciting as it gets.
Speaking of tweets though... I love this one. Living the dream.

Does anyone have a photo of Laura's standby slip? Would love to see her in costume.

Just had a quick listen. She sang DG exactly like Alice (as she has been told to do) - however the timbre of her voice is very different to Alice so what works for Alice won't necessarily work for Laura. That being said, it's a very strong vocal performance and if that's what she can do first time out, sky's the limit! Such wingspan!

Bloody hell that was fast...the conductor must have been desperate to get to the toilet (or the pub)

Bloody hell that was fast...the conductor must have been desperate to get to the toilet (or the pub) It's a 9 show week, who can blame the guy if he needs a couple of beers to get him through? Maybe it was so sped up because it was her first, I think it would probably help take the pressure off a bit if you didn't have to worry about sustaining the notes for quite so long.

I'm not one for poor quality audios, but I'm glad I've seen that written down. Just out from today's matinee and the first act felt a little rushed throuhgout, scenes and songs. Laura on as Elphie, Rosa as Glinda, and Aimee Fisher as Nessa. Nothing too much to write home about, but nothing glaringly off either. Nearly full house, but not a particularly crackling atmosphere. There's a sweetness to Laura's Elphie (I do miss surly Willemijn, and her many degrees of shade), clear singing, better singing than acting. A bit of grit to Rosa's Glinda ("the aritchoke is steamed" had a pissed off delivery, rather than played for laughs) - oddly her highlight seemed to be 'Thank Goodness'. Good rapport between the two of them. Nice to see anyone at all different playing Nessa. Ensemble seemed fresh. Melanie Le Barrie really great as Morrible - intelligent and sparkling. Geniunely enjoyed the midwife's performance. Somehow, I had never before noticed the Wizard of Oz callback in "what's in the punch?, "Lemons and Melons and Pears", "Oh my" before now, so I enjoyed that. All the jokes are still sh*t. And you can still get a good packet of South African crisps from the deli at Victoria Station.

So it appears from twitter that Carina was in the building today yet Rosa went on?!
What's going on with the Glinda's?! I'm so confused!

Now there's a performer... never calls out and always sticks to the score.
You never see him throwing unnecessary head nods into scenes just for the sake of it!

I don't think he even takes the 4 weeks holiday a year he's entitled to either! I'm pretty sure he's been on every time I've seen the show. What a trooper.

I can just picture the YouTube video description... "Wicked Overture - BEST EVER WING FLAP. Wicked Overture from 18/08/17 featuring an absolutely equisite wing flap from the Dragon, some gorgeous smoke blowing and some phenomenal red eyes. I absolutely did record this video, but by writing here that I didn't record it, somehow I think that you're going to believe me. See you in court"Me:
