I think, of my list, Sophie and Emma are the only two who I think were totally wrong for the show, and miscast. Even though they were good for what they were, neither were right for those roles at all in my opinion. Although I'm surprised that I have only found two of them like that, considering I have now seen the show 19 times. I'd of imagined I had seen more disappointments, but apparently not! Also, I forgot to say last night, I much preferred Rosa as Nessarose this time compared to Cast Change. She has really grown into that role. Are you my twin Daniel? 😂 I feel exactly the same on Emma and Sophie - neither for me worked

Favourite trio for me is my originals - Kerry, Dianne and Olli. Kerry in her prime, Dianne being GLORIOUS and just staring at Olli Tompsett because he's so gorgeous 😍🙈

Jason Winter (I think I saw him) I thought I'd seen him but have just had a hunt through standby slips and it was David Rudin. Can't remember a thing apart from he was fit. That's my main benchmark of a good Fiyero I am afraid. If I don't fancy them they're going in the lower part of the list regardless of anything else. Lee Mead's constant muddling of Glinda and Galinda, Matt's terrible and awkward eye contact and Ben's horrific American accent still give me nightmares to this day. Although speaking of Fiyero's I really wish I had got to see Oliver Watton, always liked him.

I'm amazed Sophie could be considered so highly on anyone's list. Are you sure you are not confusing the actress with the performance? Because as an actress she is very talented and a lovely person, but she is all wrong for this role. Or is it just because she is paired with Alice? Genuinely curious, not meaning to sound a dick haha.

Caught the show on Tuesday, it's in great shape. It was only my sixth time since 2007, but was definitely one of the best. The new cast are solid - Melanie La Barrie as Morrible being the obvious stand-out. I don't think I've ever seen a Horrible with such disdain for Glinda. Quick Question, I wonder if anyone can shed some light on, I seem to remember Morrible having more costumes, wasn't there a light green one she wears when we first meet her in The Emerald City? Am I looking into this too much?
Alice Fearn & Sophie Evans both brilliant. Such vocals!
Good to know that after all this time the show is still in good shape...also Wicked throw one hell of a party for a cast change!

Quick Question, I wonder if anyone can shed some light on, I seem to remember Morrible having more costumes, wasn't there a light green one she wears when we first meet her in The Emerald City? Am I looking into this too much? Susan Hilferty re-thought the costuming for a black skin tone when Sheryl Lee Ralph played Morrible earlier this year on Broadway, including designing a new costume with a different shade of green. So no you didn't imagine this!! Good spot 👍🏼👍🏼

I remember when Melissa Jacques took over briefly as Morrible because Louise had gotten ill (tragically in hindsight), and because it was a last minute thing, Melissa wore the first costume for the entire show.

I'm curious what it is that makes some people go back dozens or even hundreds of times. I'm genuinely interested, not trying to bash anyone here. I'm a huge fan myself. But what is it that makes some people go multiple times a week or even twice a day?

So I bit the bullet and I'm watching tonight!
Laura Pick Elphaba, Tom Hargreaves Fiyero and Aimee Fisher Nessa so it's 7 out of 8 leads totally new to me, just Martin Ball as Dillamond and that's a non-role anyway. Will let the board know my thoughts.
@pointone I will answer your question when I get home.

But what is it that makes some people go multiple times a week or even twice a day? I honestly cannot begin to answer the why's. When you think about it or try and explain it to others it makes no sense. There are lots, however, who appear to go so often to compete with friends and to up their "numbers".

But what is it that makes some people go multiple times a week or even twice a day? I love the spectacle of the show, the music and the story - it all comes together in a fantastic bundle. But that said, whilst I could literally watch & listen to Defying Gravity on loop, for me it's about seeing different actresses tell the story. If you look at my list I've seen it 24 times with 12 different Elphabi. I won't go back week after week, but aim to catch each cast to see a different take on the role - and there have been some amazing ones and some not so good ones.... Although I did see it three shows running on the tour, I figured if I was travelling nearly 5 hours from home I'd make the most of it! Saturday matinee & evening followed by Sunday matinee! Crazy!

She is wrong for the role in YOUR opinion. As is clear from the variety in everyone's favourite lists we all have different tastes 👍 That's exactly why I'm asking, because I want to understand why some think she is right for it, I want to know what it is that I missed. I completely respect that a few people like her! Oh really? I'm amazed Sophie could be considered so highly on anyone's list. Are you sure you are not confusing the actress with the performance? Because as an actress she is very talented and a lovely person, but she is all wrong for this role. Or is it just because she is paired with Alice? Genuinely curious, not meaning to sound a dick haha. A little more positivity is a wonderful thing. Your need to endlessly repeat your opinions gives the impression that you want everyone to either agree with you or argue with you until you get the desired reaction. Quality is better than quantity where words and posts are concerned.

I have no desired reaction to gain. My opinion is my opinion. Assuming I want a certain reaction from certain people, why would I care when I have already discussed on other social media with said people about both leading ladies, why would I want the satisfaction of doing it on here too?
I think the reason for the constant confusion on to my part as to why she was cast, is because, as I said in a text to a fellow member on here, I left the show so confused and almost angry on Tuesday. Not just because of Sophie, but certain other things too.
I'm gonna give Sophie another chance, and Alice too even though I enjoyed her performance.

Has anyone else noticed the Orchestra has gotten a lot faster for some reason as of late as well? Especially during Defying Gravity which I just heard back as someone has posted the one from Tuesday on YouTube, and in the theatre I thought there was sound issues or Alice stumbled over her lines, but the Orchestra is playing ridiculously fast, the poor girl can barely keep up with them and it sounds like some instruments are being interrupted by others because of the faster pace. Just me?
