I heard a rumour of Spoonful of Sherman at the Adelphi. Baffled me a bit as it was from a fairly credible source but the theatre just seems too big for such a show!

I can’t see Sherman packing the audiences in over a long period somehow. I’d hope that the setback with Poppins can give Waitress or Hansen the opportunity to transfer.

What is the setback for Poppins? Is the Adelphi stage big enough for a huge house or will the it be the pop up tour version? I recken Hansen or Mean Girls will transfer to the Savoy!

From what I've heard, Mean Girls will indeed be the next long-runner to go in, but that doesn't mean a limited run or two beforehand won't happen. From one as little as a month or two to one as long as a Funny Girl or Gypsy limited run.

From one as little as a month or two to one as long as a Funny Girl or Gypsy limited run. I know it’s never going to happen but I would live for a second run of Gypsy. A more likely option for a limited run though is a sit down of a tour.

Don't know about the Savoy in particular but TodayTix are teasing a "new transfer" pre-sale with them tomorrow from noon. My guess is something will be announced tonight via Baz?
No mention if this is a Broadway transfer, regional, off west end ect ect. Exciting time at the moment though.

Is that not just Come From Away, or did their presale for that open today? There was a separate tweet 5 hours before specifically regarding Come From Away, so I doubt it’s related.

I think that second tweet may be slightly mistimed, as there was an identical one posted earlier today too

Bit of a conundrum this. If indeed the only two transfers coming in imminently are DEH and ‘Mean Girls’, I think Evan is a better fit for the Savoy being slightly more intimate than the Adelphi. However, the Shaftesbury will be free soon enough, where I think Mean Girls could look fab. It has name recognition a la Motown, and leaves a larger more prestigious house free should something bigger come along.

I always thought Evan would go to the Wyndham’s or the Noël Coward but I guess the Savoy could be an option. Mean Girls for the Shaftesbury, Waitress or Anastasia could do the Adelphi maybe? I think Jamie will be gone by the end of next year so that means the Apollo will be free, as with the Dominion because I doubt Bat Out of Hell is doing good enough business to stay at the 2,000 seat monster that is the Dominion.

The Gielgud has had musicals in the past such as Avenue Q and it’s similar to the Music Box Theatre as is The Noel Coward.

Mean Girls is produced by Sonia Friedman. She has never used the Shaftesbury before.

Mean Girls is produced by Sonia Friedman. She has never used the Shaftesbury before. I don't think it means it won't ever as plenty of her shows have gone into non ATG theatres like Mormon, Potter to name but a few but I do think it's unlikely. It's a shame the Lyric isn't available as that'd be the perfect theatre for DEH

One of those shows could go into the Piccadilly, which is a perfect size house for a small musical.

Thriller still sells pretty well, especially Fridays/Saturdays.
Still no desire to see it.
