After a false start with The Kiss of the Spiderwoman.
Getting to that time of year where they announce - So what do you think will be the summer musical?
I think it will be Spamilton, because of their past relationship with the creative.

I know this a popular choice among many on this board but we want Hedwig and the Angry Inch!

Gosh I would love Hedwig!! Or maybe Fiddler. Whatever it is, I just hope it doesn’t involve Marcus Brigstocke.

I’d also like to see a Gentleman’s Guide. Maybe that could work here?

I don't think it'll be Fiddler either - and if it was, it certainly wouldn't be a transfer of the Chichester production - but Fiddler can work in a smaller space. The Liverpool Everyman's production last year - done in the round, and something like it would fit in the Menier - was very good indeed.

Isn't Spamiton on tour?
It would be good if they tryout a new and original work instead of a revival. Though I'd be fine with a revival if it's a good title.

I'd like to see them do Baby, The Bakers Wife (despite its terrible book) or something new like The Story Of My Life. Yes it bombed on Broadway but I like the score alot.
Or maybe it's time to revive Passion again. it's been a while.

It was an evening of my life and $30 that I'll never get back.)

No, that’s Cornedbeefalton on tour. Luncheonmeatalot would be better at the Menier.

The Bridges of Madison County + Ramin Karimloo + Sierra Boggess = Box. Office. Gold.
I won't charge you for that one Menier. Have it on me. God knows you need a hit.

I like the idea of The Baker's Wife. I'm in a David Yazbek kind of mood, and have never seen The Full Monty. Did that ever run in London?

The Full Monty ran at the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2002 and was a great show. However, I suspect it would have done better if it had been set back in Sheffield for the British run rather than Buffalo.

I think it's time for Forbidden Broadway to make a return. So much new material out there.

Jason Robert Brown did give a 'watch this space' for Bridges of Madison County to open in London during his recent concert...

I get a feeling Forbidden Broadway could get a return and the timing is spot on for their current show Spamilton. Which I saw in Los Angeles and is hilarious 😆. . The Bridges of Madison County has one peach score, would be great if this was done in Regent’s Park, that delightful score would sore there.

Perhaps they should get Mandy Patinkin back to have another go at their one and only original musical ‘Paradise Unbound’ (or maybe it was called Paradise something else, can’t remember). That would be much funnier than watching Marcus Brigstocke falling off a tightrope every night.

That would be much funnier than watching Marcus Brigstocke falling off a tightrope every night. It was called Paradise Found. 3 Tony award winners, 2 massive directors and the music of Strauss. What could possibly go wrong. It was so bad it was .... bad! I've got a framed signed poster of the cast on my wall. Must be worth a bob or two now.

Never has a show promised so much and given so little... Not to mention Mandy Patinkin sweating profusely at very close quarters . One of the worst evenings in the theatre I’ve had...
