I really wish tours would announce all venues at the same time. I know lots from the North East who booked to go to Manchester thinking it was the nearest venue. As not frequent theatre goers, they are going to be absolutely livid when they hear about the visit to Newcastle.

As not frequent theatre goers, they are going to be absolutely livid when they hear about the visit to Newcastle. It's really difficult though because for the most part, and depending on the show, they have to wait for when the venues are announcing their new seasons. When I worked on the Kinky Boots tour people were furious at the lack of dates in Ireland but we had to wait for the theatre to announce before officially saying it was happening. Also sometimes negotiations are still happening when other tickets need to go on-sale asap etc etc. Just food for thought!

Well like a complete and utter idiot I had 2 rush seats in my basket, and my mate had the bright idea of letting it go to get just one...
I should've already know I didn't stand a chance! A little sad ngl!
Going to see if theres any returns from the Theatre.

In Brum, the Hippo is a cavernous venue to fill... I live in Brum and the Hippodrome apart from it's capacity has a huge stage to take musicals and ballet etc. I've only ever been to Arts Theatre once and to transfer to that stage to something like Hippodrome or Mayflower doesn't seem natural to me. But I want to see SiX and if the girls can move around more on the stage then it could work. Plus if producers think it will sell out larger venues then go for it. The Alex or B'ham Rep might have been more suitable venues. My other question would be if it can play large tour venues then wouldn't there be a thought to cash in and get it in a bigger London theatre?

24 people on the returns list already; seems pointless!
I'll probably leave it tonight unless anyone knows of a spare going...

Didn't expect much but...I really liked this. It was an original take that combined erudition with a certain lightness of touch, which has always been hard to pull off.
Will be interested see what the team do next.

Interesting how some shows just take off with the fan girl/boy community and some don’t...there’s a research thesis in the making.

Ended up being in Harrods picked a dress up for my mother tomorrow so thought I'd pop into the palladium to see what they had left for Joseph; but ended up getting out of Harrods at 19:25, so went over to the Arts.
Got there at 19:55 and sadly they had nothing, just disheartened me more tbf 😂Stuck around till curtain up and there was 14 empty seats, but wasn't allowed any of them understandably.

What's the best way to find out which queens will be on on a specific performance in Aug? Check the alternates tweets? Has the Aug schedule been released yet? I am in London for a few days and I want to make sure that I catch certain queens but obviously the quicker I can buy tickets the better.

If you scroll back on the alternate's twitters you can see any scheduled dates they might have for holidays, but the actual alternate shows aren't released. I know off the top off my head that Natalie Paris is off the show week beginning the 12th August, so Courtney is on all shows until the Sunday evening. Which should be Grace Mouat's last show in Six.

Awwww thanks so much. The week Natalie is off is the week I am going down and she was top of my list to see. Thank you for being so helpful.

Courtney is injured and was performing yesterday, albeit mostly sitting down. One of the other girls must have fallen ill so they have no alternative but to cancel.

I saw the show on Saturday night with Vicki as Cleves and Grace as Howard. Maiya hasn't been well much this week, with Courtney being on for Parr most of it and then Cicki being on for Parr on Friday (Which I saw, absolutely incredible). Maiya managed to come to work on Saturday night, purely because she had family in which she didn't want to disappoint but it was clear she probably should have been in bed somewhere, recovering. She's obviously tried to go back to work on Sunday and not been able to perform again and without Courtney to cover and Vicki and Grace already on the show had to be cancelled.
I did hear a rumour they were going to bring Sam Pauly (Chicago company) in to play Howard for the evening show because she's in London for Evita but her Visa didn't cover it so they've instead had to cancel.

Natalie's ill as well apparently. I was there on Saturday, but for the later performance, I knew Courtney had to sit down for the matinee though.

Jaye'J and Lexi are both injured/vacation, Aimie hasn't been on in a few shos, and Courtney is dealing with bad knees. Since Sunday, Courtney is on as Aragon but doing a 'reduced dance track'.

It's way harder than other rushes such as Waitress, CFA, Wicked. Largely down to the fact that it's a small theatre and a very popular show.

Both times I've wanted to go to the show through rush I've been able to (and one was a Saturday night), its not impossible but practicing the day before so you know the layout and having a strong internet connection are the best two things I can recommend. Also having friends help can actually take off a lot of the stress.

Bumped into Katy (‘Joan’) - MD of Six in London - last night in my local Indian restaurant (we both went to primary school together up in Warwickshire!) whilst she’s on a week off!
She was telling me all about the success of the show and how well it is doing, especially since only being a small Fringe show, and now selling out in London.
She also mentioned the casting of the tour, hinting that some ‘familiar names’ have been cast (I’m not sure if she meant names already familiar to Six or well-known West End actresses) as well as some new, fresh talent. Apparently they are all absolutely fantastic and it was a difficult audition process because of the sheer amount of talent!!
Looking forward to catching the tour in Oxford! 👑

I had rush tickets in my basket for the 4pm show too, but decided not to take them as my car is currently in the garage and I thought I should save the money... regretting that now big time!

Just seen a photo on instagram of the purple curtain down as normal but with six microphone stands in front of it with what appear to be the Haus of Holbein neck ruffs round the bases! Wish I could be at todays performance, instead of sat here still in my pyjamas...
