I think it's available on BroadwayHD. Too expensive just to watch something. So you should get it for free?

You usually have to sign up properly, giving your credit card details to get the free trial period, people then tend to cancel the subscription or delete their account before the trail period ends.

I had to subscribe via Paypal, they wouldn't accept my non-American card. Unsubscribed after 6 days and not a single dollar was charged.
This was like a year ago. They might have changed their policy.

That's what put me off the fact that I had to give out my card details just to get the 'free trail' not doing that. I'd prefer to just wait. Thanks again to everyone for your help.

Such an odd choice. This was never a popular darling and as far as I remember, doesn't even have a cult following. Is Robert Londsale still cute? A lot can happen in six years..

Really looking forward to this - good that they have got the four principals back to give some performances too.

When I saw this show towards the end of its rum I remember thinking that Preitt's death was one of the most dramatic I had ever seen on stage

Didn't Sky Arts record the whole West End production?

Didn't Sky Arts record the whole West End production? They did and I loved watching the production on sky arts however they haven't shown it for a long time so I don't think it's going to be shown again although I hope they might one day as I don't have the dvd. I'd love it to also have a revival in the West end.

Lyricist Sir Tim Rice responded on the prospect of the show returning, commenting: “There’s interest in a UK tour [of From Here To Eternity]…We’ve had a lot of offers and interest and something will happen in due course.”
He also later clarified on Twitter, stating: “…From Here To Eternity could be back somewhere by Autumn 2021…”

I would love to see it return but I think it's important to say it's not set in stone yet so I hope people don't get their hopes up by reading this.

Slightly surprised considering it wasn’t a huge seller in London and only managed a 6 month run. Has this developed a cult following I’ve been unaware of?

The talk was very speculative. Stuart and Tim were saying the would like to bring it back and have another go at it in the UK, and hope they get to do that. They did say they have had offers, but Tim was adamant that nothing is concrete and nothing at all may happen

Can’t see it. They’re going to need sure-bet big name theatre fillers if they’re going to have a chance of recovery. No one is going to tour a niche 6 month runner that didn’t quite work in the WE. Not if they’ve any sense anyway.

I joined in the talk last night - I really enjoyed the set-up of the thing (honestly, I don't know what I'd call it). Lots of virtual tables set up with 6 or 7 seats at each table on 2 virtual floors, 78 or 79 attendees. There's some pics on Twitter.
FHTE wasn't a favourite of mine, saw it once in preview with one of the WOS theatre nights, with a Q&A after the show. My seat (allocated by WOS) was at the back of the Dress Circle which is somewhere I'd never sit out of choice - felt quite distant from the action. The stage - bombed out sort of thing - was distracting for me. Good songs. I do like Darius and loved -!- Robert's performance. Thought I'd join in last night simply because I felt the need to connect with theatre/performers.
Sir Tim said he can't see live theatre returning until maybe September 2021! Not exclusively FHTE, theatre in general. Mark Shenton was tweeting through the talk and mentions this.
It was an interesting way to spend a few hours, there was about an hour of general chat at the virtual tables beforehand - I was with a bunch of people who knew each other from stage doors. No performances from the cast though.

I'm just excited that there are any plans for a tour, I think many people would luv to see it again. I didn't mention announced or confirmed, just what they've revealed so far. So fingers crossed it happens 😊 x

Just read an article that said it's possible that some but not all theatres could remain closed until 2021

I really enjoyed re-watching this on Youtube this weekend. A strong cast overall with a couple of stand-out songs in my opinion - The Boys of 41 and Fight the Fight. The staging of this last 10 minutes was excellent and I definitely had a lump in my throat. Would love to see this in a theatre again if it hopefully comes back for a UK tour.
