Also, gotta say, its got to be only a matter of time before Sean Kingsley (played the Father) lands in Les Mis..? He's already been in it! Played Valjean in 2004

Absolutely adored this show. Thought Louis M, Julian B and Mark Anderson were perfect, and the score was glorious. Really praying for a cast album or a second life. Also hoping Louis does more theatre. And loses his shirt at some point. I remember Louis playing Tony in the West Side Story tour a few years ago, so he's been around. Didn't realise it was him at all yesterday, until I got home and checked the cast list. Louis is the main reason I booked to see it. I also saw him as Tony in WSS and he played Freddy in My Fair Lady at The Crucible a few years ago. Love his voice and he's easy on the eye too. :-)

Interesting. I’ll definitely try and get a copy. Is there a date on it?

It’s driving me mad. Can anyone remind me of the chorus of the song that was sung in the bar during the Interval? All I can remember is the rhyming of ‘teeth’ with ‘breath.’

I’ve received an email from Bristol Old Vic this afternoon informing me that the cast recording has now gone to press and will be posted out in a few weeks’ time. I’m looking forward to reliving the music soon!

The CD arrived today, and I must say on the whole I was fairly impressed with the quality. It's advertised as a live recording, which it clearly is, however, the end of some of the tracks seem to have had an extra audio of huge whooping and cheering from the audience added to the end. It sounds like the same loop literally cut and pasted onto each one though, and it doesn't sound as though it naturally occurred that way in the theatre. I'd love a second opinion on that though, perhaps I'm wrong. Either way it sounds too enthusiastic for a British audience!

Ordered my copy from the Bristol old vic website last week after reading your post and still waiting. I’m so impatient when it comes to waiting for online orders to arrive! Can’t wait to hear the show again!

I'd say it sounds the right amount of people applauding for the amount of seats in Traff1. They have laced the applause in reverb though which is probably why it stands out and seems unnatural. That said, looking at the audio waveforms the applause is almost certainly the same at the end of 'I've Never Seen a Face Like this' and 'A New Beginning', but different for 'Labyrinth' and 'Stars in the Sky (Reprise)'.

Does the CD come with a proper booklet, photos, lyrics, etc? Not really. It’s one page with a fold in the middle. Minimal info

Anyone else see twitter today? Andy Serkis' company, Imaginarium, filmed the entire show in Mocap. I hope they'll release the finished project at some point

This is amazing! I always wanted to see this but I could never squeeze it in. Barbershop Chronicles was the same deal. I'm so glad all these shows that weren't even available in cinemas are getting streamed and I can catch up on what missed.

I adored this and always hoped it would get a revival somewhere. Louis Maskell was great in it
