Amy Ross has just posted on her Instagram story that she loves ginger. The inner fangirl in me wants to stock up on it and give it to her, but I know that somewhere the new generation of “Jax” fans are ransacking Tesco for it.

I'm surprised it hasn't occurred to any of the cast to mention that they have a passion for high denomination banknotes.

Dawnstar it's not a guarantee but single seats may be reduced closer to the performance so maybe hold off booking until the week of the show? The previous two venues (Bristol Hippodrome & Liverpool Playhouse) have reduced all single seats (including premium) down in price to between £20 and £35, as Edinburgh is also an ATG venue they may also offer this? Seeing as I highly doubt the show will sell out every night given the capacity the venue has Thanks again for this tip. I've been checking ATG's website fairly frequently over the last few weeks just in case. When I looked just now I found the end seats on the front row for next Monday onsale for just £25, so I've snapped one up. (Goodness knows I've seen the show often enough that I'm not fussed if the view's a bit restricted.) It looks like they're available for at least some of the other dates too, if anyone else is looking for Edinburgh.

Dawnstar you’re welcome. I’m glad it was of some use to you. Enjoy the show when you go.

Slight panic attack realising there are pretty much only single seats left in Cardiff and I didn’t have anything booked...
So I’ve now booked the 2nd day which will be press night so matinee (assuming Amy will take it off as it’s press night) so I can catch a Standby/Understudy show and then the evening show to see the wonderful Amy!

There are some blocks available on some on the Sunday matinees as I was looking to go with my goddaughter, but nothing for a Saturday matinee in the whole run! Sunday matinees range from £52 to £32 I think for upper circle!

I’ve booked for the matinee on May 26th. Managed to only pay £27.50. (But with booking fees because ATG are greedy) I’m really really hoping it’ll be Amy Ross as Elphaba as it seems like her portrayal is way different to Alice Fearn who was my first.

Anyone know if Amy will do the matinee today with it being press night last night? I know if its on the day of press night she doesn't but I dont know if it worms the other way round and I'm desperate to see Nikki again while i have a day free.

I really want to see Wicked in Sunderland. Relatively manageable by train from me (well I have to change at Newcastle and part of it is the underground) but I would panic about missing the train home. Trains back to my town from Newcastle in the evenings are pretty crap but I still want to go!! Urgh..

There's metro and network trains from Sunderland to Newcastle after the show but they don't run that late.

Metros run until around midnight and are pretty reliable (every 7ish minutes from Sunderland to Newcastle). The nearest metro stations to the theatre are honestly a spilt between Sunderland's main 3 stations. The theatre recommends Park Lane which is the main travel interchange in Sunderland. However most people will go to Sunderland station.
If you go and don't want to get lost I'll probably be around my best friend lives in Sunderland so I'm there often. (And Wicked is in Sunderland so...)
EDIT: Forgot to say, apparently you get free metro travel for 2 hours before and after the show with your ticket but I've never actually tried this out because I always have to get a bus ticket for after the metro anyway.

If I go, I might go to Park Lane because isn’t it before Sunderland on the metro? Then you’d get a seat before most of the crowds leaving the theatre. By the way, what is the view like from the Gallery at the Empire? It’s where the cheap seats are and that’s all I can afford.

It's a very steep-stepped gallery. View is generally OK with a few safety rails in the way, as you would expect.

Sunderland is before Park Lane actually, but for the 20 second difference between them you might as well follow the crowd. As for the gallery I can't comment because I've never sat up there.

Does anyone know what time I might be able to catch Amy and Helen at the stage door before a matinee? I’m not a stalker I just quite wanted to meet them but I doubt Amy (or anyone) would come out after a matinee

At the Edinburgh Playhouse. Assuming the not-nearly-as-prominent-as-it-should-be cast board is correct, Nikki Bentley is on. I had hoped for Amy Ross, given the comments on here indicate she is more of an "acting" Elphaba & I prioritise acting over belting in this role, but such is life. Given I'm slap in front of the loudspeakers & have a headache, I may not last the course anyway.

Well, I ended up in Edinburgh tonight because Nikki Bentley was on as Elphaba. Echo my last review of the tour, except everyone has somehow come on more and more.
Aaron Sidwell now has charisma and it's not just like having a wooden post for a Fiyero. He's pretty much got his Act 1 Fiyero down, he's still a little more reserved than I would like in As Long as You're Mine given he's trying to go for the badboy vibe. However he was much better sung and acted than last time.
Nikki Bentley somehow got better? Hee facial expressions and in particular her eyes were something else this evening. Firmly cemented her place as my favourite Elphaba.
Now I need to rush to sleep before my snoring bunkmate gets there before me.

Are eye riffs now a thing?

What else were they? Are eye riffs now a thing? They were just rather intense, would have told the whole story if you looked at them long enough. But I could be babbling on about anything right about now, think I've had 45 minutes sleep.
