I'm given to understand from my illustrious colleague TheatreDust that the first badge order has been dispatched. So this thread is for your stories of random bumping into's, whether they are badge related, profile pic related, or anything else. If you haven't ordered yours yet, go here and get busy!

Not badge or photo related but one of those one in a million coincidences that was bound to happen at some time or other... I had a bit of a rant in a thread I started yesterday about the poor service I'd received from a young man when making a telephone booking for 42nd Street. Turns out the young man in question is only a regular poster on this board! Awkward!!! (He was the second person to respond to my post.)

I have had a couple of encounters with forum members on here, mostly unplanned bar a couple. The best one was an experiece of meeting one by chance when they were giving me tickets at the box office for the show I was seeing that afternoon. Was actually a really lovely experience meeting them! And no, I will not name the theatre, show or poster name at their request.

Due to give badge first airing tomorrow, it's a whole nothing dress consideration, where to pin badge for maximum visibility and minimum holes in clothes

Can you imagine all the different dramas that could ensue from badge-holders claiming to be someone else?! It's almost worth buying one just to see where it all leads! But I'm not a badge sort. At least I haven't been for about forty years... I used to have a rather naff Omega Theatre Group badge I thought was really trendy. And an I Am 5 one...

Well you are missing out. I'm confident they will be the talk of the town soon. We paid a lot to get Dolce & Banana to design them and they are set for the autumn catwalks of Clapham and Bognor fashion shows. So.

I've actually got my hands on a load of them and made a crop top and hot pants out of just the badges, so people won't be able to miss me really.

I'm going to say I'm you then, andy, as I know you'll have one. And then the next time I'll say I'm... No! I won't even say it! But I bet you can imagine...! Nah you'll not get away with that because Andy is quite young

I'm picturing people's reactions when I say, "I'm Burly, but I look different without my specs... And the beard in the avatar is stick-on."

Whilst I like the idea of something a little more discreet such as a badge (i.e. as opposed to posting a photo of myself here), I think I'd just be a liability with it: I'd either scratch myself, get the badge caught in or on something or end up ripping my clothing. And before anyone else says it, yes, I am clumsy and the sort of person who can slop tea from a mug when walking just a few paces, or think I've set something down firmly on a surface only to find I've misjudged it and the object falls on the floor. But I shall keep an eager lookout for anyone else sporting a badge.

I'm tempted to get one, just so I have it but I'm not sure I'd wear it to the Theatre as I'm quite shy.

Haha. Yeah it's weird I know. I don't mind wearing clothes to make me stand out. Maybe it's the whole Internet thing that's making me a bit wary.

My badge has winged (wung?) its way across the channel to Germany now.
I'm not fazed by a small badge like this. It's not like it's a huge thing that stands out.
In fact I stuck the #keepthesecrets badge from Harry Potter to the strap of my handbag and it's still there - partly because I keep forgetting to take it off, but partly as a memory of a fabulous London trip in July. So I may add this as I tend to use the same light handbag for my travels (not here for daily use).
