Does anyone buy programme binders? I do.
The only binder I know that is available in the UK is from the National (Black cloth, silver blocking, rather stylish). I have loads. US Playbill also have a couple of choices of binders, depending on the quality of "preservation" you want. I have loads of the basic version.
The RSC used to do them (the best were black cloth, gold blocking, also stylish) but then they changed the design (twice) before ceasing to sell them altogether. So now I have a number of RSC programmes I can't house safely. The RSC say they have no plans to re-introduce binders but don't say why.
It's either because they didn't sell well, or because they are hoping hard copy programmes are dying out and people will shift to downloads.
To what extent do you think that regular theatregoers are willing to change to downloads? I'm far too old to want to do that now but I wonder if even younger theatre goers are willing to move to programme downloads?

Besides, who wants their phone screen signed at stage door? Some people it seems! Seen a video of someone signing a tablet of some sort online. Back on topic, I'd always want a paper programme. The only time I'd absolutely love to have a digital one is for the annoying few times I've been and they have no programmes left. |

I keep my tickets in a photograph album and I use the same vertical filing system as the Monkey.

Said vertical filing system now sits on an old grand piano frame that our local theatre threw out, which we reclaimed and bolted to the wall - Not the most effective of shelves but looks pretty. And still cheaper than a binder! |

I have a tote Sweeney Todd bag that I keep all my programmes in of the shows I have seen and a note book where I write things about the show like venues,dates how I enjoyed them, just so I can flick through and look back on what I have seen

I saw 80 shows last year, I haven't got the wall space for that. Yep... I'm running out of cupboard space, let alone wall space. Can't bring myself to dispose of my theatre-going history though, nor stop adding to it! |

I always buy a programme (unless I am returning to a show with the same cast, that's silly). Plus I'm only 29, so (hopefully) have many more theatre years ahead of me. I'm going to have to go on one of those hoarder programmes in my latter years. |
