Pre-sale now open. I registered with view to attending a matinee at Sheffield if there was nothing further south which appears to be the case. "Priority booking now open for only UK dates ahead of world tour" which might mean there will be other UK dates AFTER the world tour but not until at least mid 2025. That said, there are plenty of gaps between the current six venues when other places could be added but "only UK dates" should mean that !
Majority of 100 series blocks seats cost £108.95 but there's plenty further back in the 200s from a reasonable £35.95. I chose row L in block 210 at the Saturday matinee, which appears to be very central to the stage, and paid £58.50 plus £2.75. That's the first row at that price, K costs over £80, so I hope I've got a good seat for what I've paid. My birthday today, so the perfect gift from me to me, I could have booked it for my birthday next year which is the opening night at Sheffield but no matinee then and I try to avoid overnight stays.
As usual with these things the total cost of £61.25 consists of a £50 ticket and £11.25 for various extra fees. If it gets cancelled for any reason I suspect only the £50 will be refunded

My first time ever seeing the show was just a few weeks before that at the Point Depot in Dublin with Colm Wilkinson. While I've preferred overall casts more over the years, the spectacle of that has been very hard to top. It felt huge to me at the time. Probably wasn't that big looking back on it now but was such an event. I saw the Sheffield show too. Most of the arena was curtained off, from memory they only used about one quarter of the seating in front of which the stage was constructed. And the Point had about half the capacity of Sheffield to begin with I think, so with sections curtained off it was probably more in line with the Dominion or Apollo Victoria but it felt very big and exciting at the time.

Just booked a cheap seat for Manchester. Surprised how few seats are on sale- looks like they're only using the lower tier and the stage is about a third of the way down the arena.

Ramin and Hadley Fraser could certainly do Trieste and Milan, knowing how appreciated they are over there. It was a matter of time before someone put the Ramin thing up.

Alfie Boe performing at Big Night of Musicals in Manchester tomorrow apparently, so I wonder if casting for part of the tour could be teased or announced then.

Stick Chris Jacobsen on tour and make him a household star! (wishful thinking)

Les Mis have posted a photo of two shadowy figures and said that casting for the arena tour will be announced soon. My opinion was that the guy on the floor was possibly Javert played by Bradley Jaden; but couldn’t make out the Valjean.

Good spot! If this is the casting, I have to say I'm relieved that they're not going the full stunt casting route that I've been wary of.

It looks like it’s more of a role share since both pairs are doing dates at all uk venues

Why do they insist on carting out Ball and Boe all the time.
Come on. Do better. Think fresh.
Glad Killian and Bradley will be getting a chance at this new version but that is very lazy ‘celebrity’ casting (and I understand the need for some ‘names’).

Especially since both of them have official recordings! (Alfie has two). Do they have SUCH a following that would justify this? Because I honestly think there were better choices out there.

Needless to say I'm very pleased I've ended up with a Killian and Bradley show by sheer chance!

Now if they'd got Ramin for some of them I'd be booking a ticket straight away to hear his voice live.

Please God not B&B again. Unimaginative, dull casting. Where is the new talent coming through?

I do feel bad for the people who've booked up so far in advance and are now potentially stuck with the "wrong" pair for their dates. If I'd booked earlier and ended up with the Ball & Boe show once again compared to Killian & Bradley I'd be annoyed.
It does feel a touch uninspired to have Boe & Ball leading the concerts once again. I'd still like to see a lot more of the casting information before booking though. Probably risking the show selling out up here but I'm not that interested in a concert version (especially with concert pricing) with the current announcement.

A personal view, but I thought that Killian was Meh as JVJ. Bradley is good, but I would like to see someone else being given a chance?

Glad Killian and Bradley will be getting a chance at this new version but that is very lazy ‘celebrity’ casting (and I understand the need for some ‘names’). Because Boe and Ball sell tickets and put bums on seats. And this tour is not a charity its there to make money. I do get annoyed with the rather "snobbish" attitude to these 2 performers, especially Michael Ball who is the most well known MT performer in the country and has fantastic work over the years in keeping MT out there and popular. Those of us who are regular theatre goers have seen both of them many times but the majority of People especially outside of London have not had the opportunities. Now I'm sure some of you would love to someone like Luke Jordan Gage in everything but, let's be honest, outside of our world he ain't known by people so let's give them someone they want to see which might encourage them to go again to see something and someone a little less known next time. Sorry to rant but I just find the constant bashing these 2 get on here is not necessary. Rant over, blame it on 10 hours in A&E at the weekend which has left me rather fragile. 😀

I don’t consider myself to be snobbish towards B&B, but MB does not sing the part well, and AB is not a good actor. I think the whole sales Mis thing has become a massive gravy train/ cash cow. I used to love it as a musical, but i no longer have the desire to watch it.

I used to love it as a musical, but i no longer have the desire to watch it. Exactly this. And clearly a few others who have posted since my comment agree. It's not to do with being snobbish towards them, it's about the fact that Alfie has been doing the role on and off since the 25th Anniversary 13 YEARS AGO and Michael Ball - whilst it was a lovely gimmick to have him for the concert version - is just terribly cast for the role. I am well aware of the commercial requirements for 'names' (and neither am I saying the likes of JLG can sell an arena!) but why not think outside of the box to sell tickets in a new way, just like they did by getting B&B in the first time?

I wonder if they'll stay with the tour as it travels or if Valjean and Javert will change depending on where in there world the tour is. Isn't it speculated that Peter Joback's upcoming London run is in preparation for the scandinavian leg? I suppose that would be a good way of doing it in order to boost ticket sales

I have seen Michael Ball in many things and generally rate him, but I don't think he is the best Javert. I also much prefer John Owen-Jones at JVJ to Boe, who I personally don't like in the role at all, BUT I do agree that when you are trying to sell out absolutely huge Arena's, you need big names to get people in. The people who buy tickets for this won't necessarily be people who take much interest in theatre generally, or go to see lots of West End shows, so I think commercially this decision makes sense. I really rate Bradley Jaden, but strangely preferred him as Enjolras to Javert. I know Javert is a bigger part and he has a wonderful voice, but he was amazing as Enjolras.

I'm a bit surprised they have Killian/Bradley for the Saturday evening shows.
Any guesses for the rest of the cast?
