ali973 Isn't she just amazing?! I really hope that Beverley becomes a huge musical theatre star, love her so much! Can't wait for the return of her in The Bodyguard. She's surely got to receive an Olivier nomination next year?! Becomes? She has been one of the hottest leading ladies in the West End since 2013 when she took over in The Bodyguard. 5 months off between The Bodyguard and Memphis, about a week between Memphis and Cats and 6 months between Cats and her return to The Bodyguard. Other than that, she has been consistently on the West End!

It'll be great to see her stay in the West End for years to come!

I think that Beverley is one of the best performers for Musical Theatre around at the moment. I can totally see her doing some great shows in th future. I think she would be quite good in some Sondheim, I think she'd be a great Into the Woods witch and would be interesting to see her to Mrs Lovett. If hey ever transferred The Little Mermaid, she'd be great as Ursualla!!

Can't see her doing Sweeney, you need to have a strong actress playing that role who can get away with not having the best singing voice, where as Beverley is the opposite. She would be perfect for Into the Woods though, could definitely see her starring in a revival of the show.

Yeah I see what you mean, but I'd like to see what she would be like in an auditon for the show. Who could be a good Lovett? Would love to see her in Into the Woods as the Witch, with Louise Dearman as the Bakers Wife and Hadley Fraser as the Baker. I think she'd be a great Ursula though.

Has anybody got a picture of the new marquee for the Dominion with The Bodyguard? Would love it they brought back the centre price of sign which hangs above he entrance instead of just using banners but I doubt they would do that again.
Really need to book this up, how's it selling?

Is this even selling well??! Just had a look online - seems as if the Saturdays are filling up nicely. Not quite there yet, but there's still a few months until it opens. Weekdays are a bit quieter, but I think momentum will pick up nearer the time. I'm not expecting this to be a sell out, but I do think it will do well!

Hope it sells out nicely for the 6 month run and isn't conderisered a flop revival. Yeah I'm not expecting it to sell out night after night but it should do well, popular film with well know and loved music as well as huge music star headlining. Don't musicals tend to be quieter in the week anyway? Looked at a Saturday in August as isn't selling out super quickly so don't have to book up straight away.

Shame as I liked the big signage and think it would look nice with the flashing lights etc. Looks quite bare with just two banners running down the side. I dont know why but theatre marquess really fascinate me! What's your favourite?

Thought Beverley's performance was vocally outstanding last night. I would so prefer to have a cast recording of The Bodyguard with Bev!!

I thin Bev is one of the only examples where someone has become more well known and popular through her musical theatre work than she was when she was 'stunt cast' in the first place as a 'star' name. To be honest, she wasn't all that well known. Her stock has actually risen and she's become more of a draw because of her performances in the shows than she was in the first place.

Any update on how this is selling? Is it going to be a good 6 month filler?

I have a great seat booked for the first preview but turns out I won't be traveling over the summer. If anyone is interested in obtaining it from me please drop me a message.

Looking forward to this one. My first time seeing it as didn't bother going to the run at the Adelphi and will be at the first preview.

This will just be the touring set. So it will be much simpler than the Adelphi version.

Nope. This is David Ian.. Cheap is his middle name. The tour played the biggest venues without making it more 'grand' and I don't imagine they will pump it up for London at all.
For the record I've heard it was good on tour so I'm not saying they'd need to do more in London

I'm assuming they will keep the song changes from the tour too? Still gutted they cut Oh Yes for The Stalker.

I heard the stalker doesn't say one word in the whole show now! Hoping they keep the Mayan Melody, Greatest love of all & where do broken hearts go though. I liked I'm your baby Tonight but I heard that's gone too. Hope they do a new Queen of the Night as I don't like the new version at all, I prefer the old one. I hope they bring back the house too

For the record I've heard it was good on tour so I'm not saying they'd need to do more in London I thought Bill Kenwright was the cheap one! David Ian does some good shows though, Gypsy wasn't cheap. I think they'll change the set if I'm honest as it will be in one big theatre for 6 months and not on tour like before
