Not surprising the first 2 musicals. I didn't send a top 5 as for the first time in while not seen 5 new shows in a year. I had seen Sunset which I would have put number 1. Thanks for all the work in publishing this.

I guess some of it is down to being nominated by people and how many nominations you get. I remember once logging in to the system to look at the nomination process and it is very long winded and detailed.

Tweeting them (or whatever you call it now) to ask if there would be a physical CD release but no reply! Fingers crossed there will be. Still love my physical music! Think there is a physical cd. Sure I read that it would be available from the theatre. Not sure if there is an online shop for Soho Place

Hoping to see more at my local theatre Malvern, which will encourage me to see more than just musicals my usual choice. Seeing Noises off in January, nothing else definite so far. Usually 2 or three trips to London so will see what comes up, although trips to London are not what they were.

Not an easy time for everyone, so again as usual, log in here if you want to chat/ have a moan/ reflect. I agree, I'm on another face book group where I live and several have commented how they dread Christmas and just want it to be over. I would urge anyone to chat to someone whether online or in person. It's only a day and chatting can make all the difference.

The one time of the year Malvern gets a younger audience! I need to get back to that theatre haven't been since early 2020. Mark James is a solid panto comedy turn and is well liked by their audiences so usually their pantos are a safe bet. Yes I know!! Mark is excellent and the audience gave it a great response.

A stunning final with lots of emotion. Began to think Bobby may have swung it , but as predicted Ellie won . I was glad for her as she has really grown through the series. I am no dance expert but her improvement and her demeanour and shock when she won are very endearing.

The whole promise of the show surely has always been how well a non dancer could be taught to dance by a dancer. This through no fault of his own is why Layton will probably not win. Everyone knows his experience with dance and although not in Ballroom and Latin, there is no question he is at advantage over the non dancers.

I was surprised at the strong accent of Stevie , having not watched the series , just the final. I personally preferred Esme and Tobias but not having seen the others there was only a choice of 1 out of 2!

If she wins public vote I don't think she can be in the dance off as points for the public vote take preference to judges' votes to break the tie. Yes I see that as at the moment in simple terms if: Judges Public Total Layton 4 1 5 Ellie 3 3 6 Bobby 2 2 4 Annabel 1 4 5 If the above happens it would be Layton v Bobby in the dance off... we will see.But likely to be above result as Ellie always seems to win the public vote.

It just depends who ends up in the dance off. It looks likely that Annabel will end up in the dance off even if she won the public vote. If so she will likely leave unfortunately.

So Aaron Tveit if you are reading this, you better have your flight booked. Just saw Aaron is going into Sweeney Todd from February on Broadway.

For Good is a lovely song that's pretty easy to sing well if you learn the timing properly. Tonight's version was bloody terrible. Yes I wondered what had happened to it, it sounded awful as if one singer kept cutting in. It's a fairly straight forward song too!

Jonathan Bailey said on radio 2 this morning that he had to go back to it to finish filming so i guess they all have elements to finish.
