Oh Carrie. YouTube comments is not the space you should be investing your energy into. It can’t be good for someone’s mental health either, especially when it seems apparent it’s thin skinned. I would just switch off from it (sounds like she watched the whole thing) and focus on this great opportunity you are working with. She has a You Tube Channel and she has probably been tagged in this video or it has popped up on her feed. If someone does video about you, as much as you know you should probably not watch, I imagine it would be very hard not to. I don't know this woman's channel but she looks for vocal performances to rip apart? How tragic.

I am also not a huge fan of the Covid references. One would be fine. But there are about 3 new covid jokes in the opening scene, and then almost every other scene added a new covid joke, whether it be a gag about, LFTs, designer masks, social distancing or Sanitising. Like we get it, but why is the it a new running thread from start to finish? Yes and very few of the audience will probably be doing any covid measures at all... Honestly do not want to be reminded of this nightmare at the theatre. I would like to escape from it.

I am very cynical of current theatre pricing. Far from trying to tempt people back in, they are pitching shows like the latest iphone knowing that many arts starved people will pay it regardless. We booked Beauty and the Beast tour tickets last week and the prices were insane. Seem to be deliberately priced in such a way now where it is very hard to find a family sized number of seats in the 'cheap' band, without crossing into the higher price band. In the end we went for three together and two in front. It's not just Disney shows though. At Newcastle you can usually pick up the side of stalls as "restricted view" tickets for £15-20 but for the Drifters Girl the same seats are £55-60. For a restricted view seat! They are still selling as well.

At the matinee today in the front row £20 seats, thank you so much to the person who posted in this thread about them.
The stage is very high but the view was still wonderful with very little missed. An absolute bargain for the price. I do think, however, that in seats so close to the performers that maybe masks should be mandatory in those areas to protect them? We were maybe a metre away from the performers at some points.
Little more I can say about this show that I haven't said already. It is sensational and the voices are out of this world. Cannot recommend it enough.
One more week in Newcastle before it moves to London.

They are just ignoring queries on social media now. No response to any twitter queries since October 1st.
Their customer service is diabolical.
I needed help recently re a booking and rang (no answer), emailed several times, tweeted, dm'd. I only eventually got a response as the show I was trying to sort tickets for escalated it with ATG on my behalf, otherwise I would still be waiting. This was several months since the initial query too.
It really is not good enough.

Lots of £13 seats in the stalls have been released for Sunderland. Not selling well there at all, even for weekend shows.
In the marketing they say "this is the only place you can see the amazing Lucie Jones play Jenna in the North East" yet the marketing video is the original London cast and the pictures on the booking page is someone else I do not know.

I was back there last night on the £20 offer. An amazing seat in row D. I couldn't see any of the light up floor but the view of everything else was incredible.
The stage is very high. It basically a built up stage upon the usual stage due to the light up floor. I am in row A on Saturday and I think I will be leaving with a sore neck...
The audience behaviour front of stalls was in vast contract to the boozed up upper circle crowd I saw on Saturday. Quiet and respectful.
Very full audience and there are now programmes available.
Witnessing this spectacular show from close proximity really was an utter joy.

I would love to see Lucie as Elphaba, her belt is incredible. But I also expected the next Elphaba to be a woman of colour. Didn't Wicked make some sort of commitment to diverse casting in response to BLM? Maybe I'm thinking of the Broadway production. They have hired someone to address this but not just for London. They will also be looking at Broadway and who knows where else... To have had no Elphaba of colour apart from Alexia in 15 casts is shameful. Remember there are also three Elphaba covers per cast . No non white Glindas at all that I can remember. Two Fiyero covers. It really is not good enough by any stretch of the imagination but it goes way beyond colour. Why should pretty much everyone in the ensemble apart from a couple of tracks be very thin when there is no reason to be for plot purposes.

Has anyone seen an understudy for the Stepmother? I'm curious to know if they go quite as Full On, or if it's a little more scaled back? (I'm kind of hoping it's more scaled back...) Yes I saw Michelle Bishop. I haven't seen Victoria so cannot really compare but I have heard the cast recording since and I would have had no clue I had seen an understudy if I hadn't seen the cast board as they sing in a similar way. She was really good.

However, they do need to use their discretion more and stop serving alcohol to those who have had enough already.

It's actually got to the point now where theatres need security inside the venues.
I saw two shows on Saturday. School of Rock in Sunderland for the matinee where the children in the audience were all pretty well behaved, then The Drifters Girl in Newcastle in the evening where, the adults were not.
Despite signs everywhere saying please do not sing until the finale, so many people were singing throughout. I don't mean under their breath either, pure belting it out.
We also had the joy of a party of fifty year olds swaying in wearing sashes who were "mortal", as we say up here. Thankfully they were far enough from me not to bother me that much but I felt so sorry for those around them. They were constantly getting shushed by people and they were having a go at them in return.
I really enjoyed the show but had I been nearer them I know I wouldn't have as I would have been so annoyed.

ATG customer service is absolutely dreadful.
I feel so sorry for those wanting to book access tickets. They cannot do it online anymore and have to ring a number instead. Twitter is full of people being on hold an hour a day, at a big cost to their phone bill, day after day and the call never getting answered.
Is it not against the law to treat people with a disability in this second class way? It is certainly totally immoral.

Received an email inviting people who were at opening night to rebook for tomorrow or Wednesday for £20 which was a nice surprise as there are very few tickets left for either performance. Managed to find a lovely seat that should have been nearly £60. I'm a sucker for an offer.

Cast boards at UK tours are even harder to find. I don't think I have seen one yet this year. Plus the last three touring shows I attended did not have any programmes either.
