Come From Away will win every award going. It’s incredible, real. raw, smart, about thousands of people who died and millions who were affected (including those on a tiny Canadian Island!)

I believe that Paul just wanted to produce Heathers and be gone. It always was odd that they set the whole Other Palace up wanting to nurture and produce new British musicals then staged Big Fish and Heathers!!! Lol

Is Paul Taylor Mills resigning because of lack of success? What’s gone on today?

I think Mark Shenton should stop reviewing Macktintosh shows. People are paid the same today as there were 20 years ago (more or less!) considering the ticket price differences THAT is more of an consumer and social issue to me than actors voluntarily doing travel expense only fringe work to gain experience, add credits on CV and make contacts. For him NOT to review them goes against the reason WHY they do such shows.

*Some* people are bizarrely hung up on the lack of a hydraulic castle. The rest of us are perfectly happy with it the way it is and don't appreciate being included in the "we" of "we are disappointed". What’s bizarre about it? The most successful animation of all time reaches the stage and we are so passionate about theatre and stagecraft. That’s not bizarre at all. Plus I understand many might not care but dozens I know are highly dissapointed - including some in the actual cast!

I have said it 262734 times this show will NEVER go to the Palladium or any other theatre in London. Methinks your horse is too high, Marjory. No no... I just know the producers!

I think if we socially accept Evita and Titanic then why shouldn’t this be a good idea? If the music score and set is amazing it could work brilliantly.

This supposed to be terrible ? No one is saying it is terrible. WE ARE saying though that it’s a shame to have an empty stage and to just rely on projections and lighting. Look up the Shanghai singalong show - as many people have said even that looks better. The song is about realising her powers, letting it all go and her huge ice castle rises from the mountains. The Broadway show fails to do this and in comparison to Pride Rock in Lion King to the flying in Mary Poppins - it just doesn’t reach the epic staging level many expected. That is the issue. We expected more NOT less!

IF this does end up at the palladium I will be booking The day they go on sale I don't think tickets won't go on sale till around end of August/September time though. this was going to be my back up show for my new york trip in january but it looks like ill be seejng waitress or mean girls instead. the fact it might be coming to london is even better. dreading the ticket prices though 😂 I have said it 262734 times this show will NEVER go to the Palladium or any other theatre in London.

The second that dress change happened I was completely transfixed and in awe, not even bitter about the ice castle anymore I am... and whoever edited that video badly to ruin the precise second she does the costume change needs to be shot! Crazy Disney allowed it though smart they released the official staging of the song rather than bootlegs.

I hope Hornchurch continue to do in house professional shows. At the end of the Disctrict Line it could easily get itself a good name and do annual shows. It’s a lovely large space and comfortable sloped seating.

I wonder what will happen to this venue when Southwark Playhouse leaves? Would be a shame to lose it as a theatre space - in so fond of it (even when hot!)

I also saw it again tonight. The cast are incredible and staging and effects out of this world. Great to see Rob Fowler in the UK finally after two decades of doing shows in Europe.
That said I still think it has the worst choreography I’ve ever seen on stage in my life! Yes it is a little bonkers meets We Will Rock You!

Well I loved it tonight. Caroline is outstanding in this, Gemma too and the male actors and ensemble - everyone amazing. The sound isn’t great, lighting a bit off, it’s all one level and directed to be very real and raw.
I just wanted it to be a little more belty, MT and showbiz - is that bad? It’s not the best musical - but a wonderful production and superb cast (some eye candy too). Not to mention it’s in great great shape for a first preview!
A delightful 8/10. Just needs a bit more razzle dazzle
