Well, National Theatre, all is forgiven after the less-than-exciting past few months. Twelfth Night, Young Chekhov, Angels in America, Peter Pan, Hedda Gabler... I know where my money will be going in the next year or so! My poor bank account: I am not strong enough to say no to any of those productions...

Wasn't Threepenny Opera mentioned ? With Rory Kinnear, wasn't it? Yes, that is right (which is a negative for me as I can't stand him: great actor, but after meeting him a few times around London, I got the impression that he is awfully full of himself).

Besides "The Threepenny Opera", I remember that they had also announced "Sunset at Villa Thalia", written by Alexi Kaye Campbell and "The ploughman and the stars", written by Seán O'Casey and directed by Howard Davies.

That sounds great. I was speaking to a friend last weekend and we thought that Helen McCrory could be the lead since she worked before with Carrie Cracknell. To make the most of this sudden gist of prescience, I will buy a crystal ball and read the future of fellow bloggers in the foyer of the National Theatre in the weekends...

Unlikely, the cast do seem to be the busy sort. Out of interest, has anything transferred from the Donmar since Frost/Nixon? For sure, in Josie Rourke's period, "The weir" and "Julius Caesar" have transferred.
