Better not be tonight! I'm seeing the show tonight and have been following Adrienne Warren's career for a long time!

Stylistically, this is not Cynthia's alley at all. Not to mention that she's doing pretty well (and totally infatuated with the opportunities in the US). So I doubt she'd come back to London anytime soon, let alone for a tour of a jukebox musical.
Leona Lewis on the other hand is ideal for this role. I just hope she has three Redbulls before each show. She looked like she was sedated in Cats.

Noooo, emicardiff...nooooo... LOL I never liked the film - or at least it absolutely did nothing for me. And I feel this adaptation is so tone deaf and coming out in probably the worse time ever. But I'd see it if I could BTW...watching this clip all I kept on thinking of was everything I doo...I do it for you....

'This revival isn't mean to be a new production with a new look. It's like asking for a new Phantom.
Having said that, the show has a big costume inventory and there are some variations in the way costumes appear across productions, and tend to be customized for the actors.

Glad it's finally official. It's been speculated it's her for a while. She's done the workshops and it's clear it's her voice in the promos. Now let's wait and see who the two other Chers are. Here's hoping that Lena Hall is one of them.
I have a ticket to the first preview of the Chicago run! Can't wait!

To be honest his "lisp" (s-retaction?) is probably something I would have noticed but not really taken note of. It's only the endless posts here about his so-called lisp that made me take note of it while seeing him ("oh..so that's what they mean?" is was I thought to myself). He was quite fantastic and really managed to reinvent the role and make it his own. A very consistent characterization throughout the entire show that was so believable and convincing.

Saw this tonight.
First time seeing it in London, but I've seen it about five times in Chicago with different casts and once on Broadway.
Overall, a very slick production. I still think the Chicago company does it best, but this (uniformly young) cast is very good.
Ash Hunter was Alexander Hamilton of the evening – and although he really gave it all, there was something very green about this young man. Giles Terera gives the most unique interpretation of Burr I’ve yet to see. After seeing Hamilton so many times, I still uncover new things and find new meanings (and sometimes even understand its lyrics better). It just made the connection that in Act 1 Burr is completely against a guan dual, but in Act 2 he's the one who asks for it.
Jason Pennycooke as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson goes completely against blueprint by bringing his own comic timing and goofiness into the role. He really was fabulous and had great diction. Pennycooke and Terera were by far the strongest cast members.
Rachel John seems to be slightly overstaged by all the men in this show, and Rachelle Ann Go sings beautifully as expected. Aaron Lee Lambert and Jack Butterworth were our understudies this evening as Hercules Mulligen/James Madison and John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, respectively. I was not aware who the principle actors were, but fully suspected these two were understudies the minute they stepped on stage. They were completely serviceable, but also evidently not the full time actors.Obioma. Ugoala (George Washington) is a total babe.
With so much good representation on stage, it’s unfortunate that the full house lacked any sense of diversity.

Maybe Shoshana Bean will make her West End theatre debut here finally with this show. She deserves better, though.

Not again. This show had two out of town tryouts in the US (DC and Chicago) that were supposedly pre-Broadway. None of this material is really good and the score is so bland. I don't understand why they never used to the film soundtrack for this stage adaptation. There is an abridged version of Wind Beneath My Wings, but that's all.

I don't believe anyone mentioned The Jungle Book, which did a limited run at the prestigious Goodman Theatre in Chicago and was directed by Mary Zimmerman. It had a different vibe to it, almost like Lion King. The score was re-orchestrated so that it included bhangra and various instruments like the sitar and tables that would make it sound more "authentic".
It wasn't announced as a pre-Broadway trial, but I suppose they wanted to run it and see how it all comes out.
Take a look:

I generally agree with you, but Chenoweth wasn't an unknown anymore when Wicked happened - she won her Tony four years before Wicked... She still was unknown. I do not think anyone knew her from Charlie I think there's a difference between "unknown" versus "not a star". Although Idina and Kristen weren't as famous as they are now, they were considered Broadway royalty even then - and well known in the musical theatre circuit. Household name, no? In a way, they still aren't but they do qualify as stars. I'd say the same applies to Caissey Levy who isn't a star star, but definitely very well known as a Broadway performer with a solid CV. An unknown would be a Hailey Kilgore (Once on this Island) or Charlie Stemp - both of which literally just graduated and have very little professional, let alone, Broadway experience.

Oh my dear child, just go with it.
FYI in the Denver run she had a short sleepwear short dress. I think they changed it because the Denver costume looked awful, she was barefoot and to tick off that not all girls wear dresses statement.

I haven't seen THAT many recordings online. All I saw are the ones that are tagged under Aldwych Theatre. Are there anymore? I would expect there to be serious filming during the curtain calls/get up and shake your booty end of the show but would be ticked if there are people filming during the show.
So..where are the receipts and the links to these filmed clips?

I'm sad that the most talked about international show on this board is Frozen. Anyway, relax. I'm sure of all the new shows of this Broadway season, it is the most likely to transfer to London, Germany, Japan and who knows where else.

Okay I had my doubts...But Lauren Ambrose sounds GOOD. I'm very pleasantly surprised. This cast recording will be great.

Will Cam Mac allow it? As far as I know he owns the UK rights and has his own production that he'd probably want to remount one day.

I’ve been reading on the Broadway world and no one is saying it is amazing sadly. But are any Disney shows amazing?! Lion King is good for the opening number, Aladdin is high-grade pantomime, Beauty and the Beast insulted my intelligence and Little Mermaid was wrong in all possible ways. The bar is not that high with Disney on Broadway.

I'd like to know how they've integrated the songs into the book scenes. Where they all "concerts"/performance within a performance or did they come up due to the character's need to sing?

He is. I recently saw a video of him "auditioning" for the film remake of West Side Story and I felt that he was Evan Hansen-ing just about everything. The twitch, the mannerism, the music reading..he needs to snap out of it.
