Why is he billed as Paul? I’ve never heard of Paul but I’ve definitely heard of Lily! He "retired" Lily 20 years ago, he's more well-known as just himself these days. And he's not performing it as Lily.

Date a critic and be his +1? Also this! I'm fed up of sitting next to an empty seat! 🤣

Apply to volunteer at a theatre I'm in the process of volunteering for Malvern theatre . Awesome, hope it goes well. I highly recommend it. We need new recruits at the Royal & Derngate in Northampton if anyone's local, drop me a message if you want to know more.

Apply to volunteer at a theatre or join one of the dozens of online reviewing sites as a writer. I do both, I've seen 100 shows this year and paid for 15 of them 😁

As a standalone film, it's not great. As a tongue-in-cheek dose of nostalgia, it's great fun. The leads are clearly having a great time, although it's solely Midler's film (Parker and Najimy have very little to actually do). Lots of nods to the first film, a paper-thin story but who cares really. It's silly Halloween fun. And Hannah Waddingham is incredible despite only being in it for 10 minutes.

Has anyone tried the standing section yet? I stood for the first preview. View was ok, but it will be affected by your height - if you're shorter, you'll have more trouble seeing the action. For a standing section, it was comfortable enough, as there's space to lean on behind the last row. And you're obviously super close to the actors anyway, so it was not difficult for me to get moved by the story. Thank you so much, very helpful. I'm 6'6" so shortness very much not a problem 🤣

I think it’s important to remember what Wicked is a global phenomenon - even people who don’t know much about MT will know Wicked exists, even if they don’t know what it’s about. As such the need to stunt cast is less than something like the recent film adaption of The Prom for example. I thought the very same about the Les Mis film a decade ago, and look at the mess they made with casting A-Listers in that!

Will be interesting to see how it sells in Southampton. It's reasonably priced at £19.50 - £49. In Brum they have probably sold 100 tickets, if that, for the weeks run so far. It's definitely after my time and I don't think i've ever seen an episode of it. Does it have much name recognition in the UK? Probably within a certain age group? SpongeBob is still on air over here today, I used to watch it quite a bit when I was younger.. the Broadway show seemed to have a Gen Z / Millennial target audience, so hoping that stays the same w the right marketing. Didn’t a UK amateur group recently put this on?? Yeah and there's another Am Dram production of it in Nottingham in January!

Dear Evan Hansen. Misty-eyed throughout Act 1, slight tears for "You Will Be Found", proper tears from the confession and "Words Fail" all the way through to "So Big So Small". I don't know why but it is the ONLY musical to make me cry.

Agree about Cynthia but Bridgerton is massive and has been streamed for over a billion hours, Jonathan is pretty well known now. It's just a shame he'll have barely anything to do.

In a comment that couldn't possibly be related to this show in any way, I would just like to say that I love YouTube.

34 year old Fiyero, 35 year old Elphaba, meeting at University.... that's not stupid at all....! 🤣 At one point they have to be about 35 in the show so it’s not stupid at all. No one knows for definite how long the gap is between Act 1 and Act 2, but it's only a handful of years at most to allow for Glinda and Fiyero's engagement and Nessa to become governor, it's certainly not 15+ years!

Jonathan Bailey - Fiyero Michael Keaton - Wizard Someone said that it could be Idina as Morrible Can Jonathan Bailey dance? Not sure, but they could probably use some clever editing to make him look better if it looked like he was struggling.

ATG are often wrong with their running times - I saw posts on Facebook for Saturday Night Fever and Joseph at MK within the last couple of weeks, both running times were actually 15-20 minutes longer than advertised despite starting on time and the standard interval. It is bad for people relying on public transport.

I was thinking it would be her only song but Menken and LMM have written 4 new songs for the film. One of them "contains rapping", so god help us all. It's too much to hope they put "I Want The Good Times Back" in from the Broadway show, isn't it. A boy can dream. Considering they replaced I Want The Good Times Back with Daddy's Little Angel in later productions of the stage version, I doubt it'll make it to the movie. A pity, because it's a great number but I imagine it would work much better with a live audience than on film because of the way it builds to that final chorus. Very true. It still annoys me that IWTGTB got replaced, Daddy's Little Angel isn't anywhere near as good!

Can I interest anyone in a rare opportunity to see Tick, Tick, Boom? Just three performances at the Victoria Centre in Sheffield (handy for the railway station and close to the world-famous Park Hill flats). Friday 30 September at 7.30pm Saturday 1 October at 2.30pm and 7.30pm www.buttersideuptheatre.com/I totally would if I wasn't so far away! TTB is also on at the ADC Cambridge later in October (10.30pm start though, which has put me off!)
