His 'scottish' accent /attempt was truly atrocious. He'd be booed off stage here if he reprised his role. Who's accent are you talking about? I think Mr Barnaby is referring to Matthew Morrison.

Hmm, interesting choice if it's true. I don't think Alfie Boe would be too old, he looks a little "old" as Valjean but would probably look younger as Barrie. I also think his "Neverland" would be dreamy. Doesn't seem as weird a choice as Josh Groban doing Pierre on Broadway in the War and Peace-pop musical. That said, I also don't really think he'd be right for the role, I can't put my finger on it why. Be happy to give him a chance though. I enjoyed the show in New York (didn't see Morrison though, his understudy was on). I'm the same in the fact I don't think he'd be right for the role although I can't really specify why! I would also still go to see the show and give it a go, purely because I love the music. Would be interesting to hear the casting rumours for Sylvia Llewelyn-Davies.

What casting would people like to see for J.M Barrie and Sylvis Lllewelyn Davies?
I know for sure I'd pay good money to see Laura Michelle Kelly or Rosalie Craig as Sylvia. And speaking of Rosalie, I can actually picture her husband Hadley Fraser as J.M. Barrie.

I'm delighted this has officially been confirmed for a London transfer! I've fallen in love with the Broadway soundtrack. My only niggle is that I'll have to wait until next year but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

The theatre is placing up barriers at stage door for Saturday evening since both Carrie and Rob are leaving. Carrie has said she will be leaving by the stage door but will not be able to stay for long as there is a cast party after the show that is attending to say goodbye to all the cast properly.
I must agree that her fanbase has gone crazy and can only imagine it must be quite intimidating sometimes.

Michael, I was so happy to mentioned Rosalie! I would see her if she were cast in either role but I have always thought her more of an Elphaba, personally. Also loving the fact many people share my wish for Katie Hall to be cast as Glinda!
Elphaba: Samantha Barks, Rosalie Craig
Glinda: Carley Stenson, Katie Hall, Celinde Schoenmaker
I want to put Laura Michelle Kelly in either role, not sure which she would suit better actually.
I'm sure I'll think of more but these were a few that sprung to mind.

Hmm...I wonder if they are having technical difficulties. This production relies so heavily on the tech for the show to run that if it fails the show ultimately does not happen.

What makes you think there'll be a cast change? I'm not that confident and expect the worst in form of an announcement that Emma and Savannah will continue in their respective roles and lead the cast to the show's tenth anniversary. A casting call has gone out for all roles so hopefully there will be new leads this year. Wicked does need some fresh blood in the cast so I am hopefully there is a big cast change this year. Who would everyone like to see take the roles of Elphaba and Glinda? And I'm meaning actresses who haven't played them before, since I know a lot of us have firm favourites who we wish would return.

What are the chances of him going back to Phantom for the 30th? I would absolutely love it if he did as he was phenomenal at the 25th anniversary concert and is my favourite Phantom! He has said in interviews that he perhaps won't don the mask again but he may very well do it as a one-off concert such as this. We can only hope!

I downloaded some of the songs from Hunchback on the day of the digital release and have been listening to them since. It really is a beautiful soundtrack. Really like Ciara Renee's rendition of "God Help The Outcasts". It really is a shame that this probably won't ever come to London though!

I'm all for actresses throwing in the occasional riff here and there in some of the songs but there comes a point when it just goes over the top and is just too much. I must agree and think this surely must be damaging her voice; you can hear throughout that she is clearly straining. It would explain her absences throughout her run in the show.

I saw this when it was touring back in November 2014 when the cast consisted of Jason Donovan (Parson Nathaniel), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Beth), Brian McFadden (Journalist) and Shayne Ward (Artilleryman) and was pleasantly surprised. I went with an open mind, having only heard some of the songs from the album, and very much enjoyed it. However, the show relies heavily on video (think Billy Elliot at the beginning of ""The Stars Look Down" but all the way through) to tell the story throughout so I can understand why some people feel there isn't enough action on stage to keep them entertained. It definitely struck me more of a staged concert of War of the Worlds as opposed to a musical in many ways. You can't beat hearing the music with a live orchestra though!

Hi everyone! I have also chosen (for now) to keep my old username intact. I travel to London several times a year for the shows and also often see various touring productions. I work as a travel agent and although my main priority is selling holidays abroad I do love selling the London theatre breaks when I can!
