I really enjoyed this last night. I went for the Britten cantata, which was superb, but loved the dance too (I'm not an expert). This is the second item in Deborah Warner's first season here and bodes well for the future. I can't wait to see what she announces for next year. Below is the Observer's five-star review which says better than I could what it was all about:
I note from the new Bath Theatre Royal programme that Warner is not programming the whole year - next Jan/Feb/March in the Ustinov there is a Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf with Elizabeth McGovern (dir. Lindsay Posner) and a new play (called Charlotte and Theodore) about universities in age of cancel culture by Ryan Craig directed by Terry Johnson and starring Kris Marshall.
