So stupidly I booked tickets for a show on Friday not realising that there are tube strikes on.
I'm wondering how difficult it is going to be to get around and whether there will be any tubes running at all?
Will need to get to Oxford Circus from either Uxbridge or Hammersmith. Or do I give up and try to pass the tickets on?

tfl.gov.uk/campaign/strikes?cid=strikesThere might be some tubes running. The 23 goes from Hammersmith to Marble Arch which could be of assistance. No idea what level of usage or traffic will be like. I suspect following the shift in WFH culture that it could be quieter than expected. We also have a show Friday evening and are hoping a combination of mainline and bus will work for us. Fingers crossed.

You also have the option of getting a coach from Hillingdon station, which is about 1.5 miles from Uxbridge. Both the X90 and Oxford Tube will get you to central, from where you should be able to get a bus.

There are bus strikes on Friday too. It's rail, tube, bus and overground. Not all bus routes will be affected, but I would check before you attempt to rely on them.

Feel like I did know that deep down but forgot, thank you for the correction! From Uxbridge you can also get to Hayes and Harlington, which is on the Elizabeth Line and will get you to Paddington in about 20 minutes.

I was in the same boat - booked something for this Friday a while ago, not knowing all this would be going on!
I also had this exact same problem when I booked to see The Glass Menagerie in June, but getting there from work was no issue at all for me in the end. Had to take a different route but other than it being a bit busier than it would otherwise have been on some platforms, it was absolutely fine.
Was hoping it'd be the same this time round but this week's strike seems more widespread from what I've read. I think the Elizabeth Line and Overground are both affected and those were what I relied on last time, so I've played it safe and swapped my ticket for another day. Glad the theatre company was so understanding!
