You've had it explained to you by a mod that everyone is entitled to an opinion within the rules of the board, whether you agree with it or not. But why are you allowing such cruel comments? Everyone can have an opinion but there comes a point where it’s just darn right rude and unacceptable. If you don’t like someone why are you spending your time writing about them on a forum? It’s actually quite sad that people have nothing better to do.

The comment in question is simply not rude or abusive.
If you don't like the way this forum operates, no one is forcing you to participate.
Or learn how to block the posters you don't like.
But there is no need to keep complaining about the way people express their opinions.

Because this is a democracy, a varied melting pot of views and opinions. In life you can't just silence people you disagree with. There are rules in place on this forum to stop truly poor behaviour - the worst of which has actually come from Carrie Hope Fletcher fans in the past who have been vulgar and extremely abusive. Let the mods do their jobs, let everyone else have their say and you give your opinions calmly and politely. Simple.

I've just booked Treason.
Partly because it's a new show but primarily because the cast includes Carrie Hope Fletcher...
Just don't see Kinky Boots as having a strong enough score for a concert and will hold my nerve for Chess as LW do sometimes discount near or on the day.

Everyone can have an opinion but there comes a point where it’s just darn right rude and unacceptable. If you don’t like someone why are you spending your time writing about them on a forum? It is my opinion, I have previously paid money to see things with CHF in and everytime has not been a positive experience, especially when compared to the rest of the talent in the cast around her. Theatre is for public consumption, and people will have (and are entitled to) their opinions...Good and bad. I could have been a lot meaner to be honest and gone into details about why I don't like her performance, but all I'm saying is I've paid before on several occasions and no more. This isn't a CHF thread, it's a thread about three new concerts and their casting. My opinion is that one new show sounds genuinely interesting but the casting has put me off.im sure there will be people who in turn also book becsuse of her but wont see another show becadue of some casting there This isn't a dictatorship and trying to control the narrative and people's views is all a little Donald Trump sounding to me.

Booked Chess instantly - LMTO playing that score with Sam Barks as Florence seems unmissable to me. I’m less tempted by the other two concerts.

Matt Willis is strangely popular in MT right now. I haven't seen Waitress but he is up there as one of the best Fiyeros for me He was for me too, but he is am abomination in Waitress

I suspect it will sell well enough not to discount. Matt Willis was great as Fiyero but I haven't seen him in anything else and I'm not a Kinky Boots fan so that is a no for me.

Agreed he’s a snooze-fest in Waitress and can’t do the comedy, so Kinky Boots will be just as awkward.
This is pretty pricey isn’t it? I hope these don’t sell out and we get some discounts, I’d like to see Chess.

If these are going to be a regular thing I’d love to see Miss Saigon next year, it’s been a while since the tour closed and we’re probably unlikely to get another full production for a while. If they’re happy to do musicals with book scenes and more pop-style scores like Kinky Boots, I’d love them to do Legally Blonde and have Sheridan Smith return as Elle for one night only. And finally, one that would never happen but I dream about, Evita or Sunset Boulevard with Patti, she could probably still do the whole thing in the original keys.

If these are going to be a regular thing I’d love to see Miss Saigon next year With Tanya Manalang please, she was absolutely definitive (and yes, I've seen Lea Salonga, Eva Noblezada, Ima Castro and loads more). I think she is just about the most underrated (in the purest form of the word) performer in musical theatre.

Kinky Boots is such a bizarre choice for a concert staging. Threads created for each of the shows so let’s move show-specific discussion to those please Chess
Kinky Boots

Years ago I was looking for a recording of someone singing Glinda's part from 'Popular' to sing with, as I like to sing Elphaba's. Came across a YouTube video of a girl singing it absolutely beautifully, used that for years. Then seeing Miss Saigon, Kim looked SO familiar. Yep, same person - Tanya.

There was talk a number of years ago of Patti & Mandy doing “Evita” for one night only here on Broadway but she shot it down. That was a while ago and I can’t imagine she’ll have changed her mind.

She is so tiny but WHAT a voice. She would make a brilliant Elphaba too, she's an absolute powerhouse. So glad you found her too!
