Ah damn, wish I’d known that sooner - would have given it a go.

Just for transparency in case it wasn't clear, this is an am dram production. 👍

Was just about to mention it being Am Dram as the licence hasn’t long been out.

Yep and loving the fact that the live orchestra being used is probably larger than the new orchestra in Phantom or most west end shows :-) Great to see local theatres back up and running as well as the west end and encouraging and developing future talent pools

Made a trip to see this last night with a friend whos a massive Little Mermaid fan, now Im not a million miles from Norwich so not exactly across the street from me, but as I said, shes a big fan and wanted to go and its only on for a few shows, so away we went. Have to say I was very impressed, lovely little show with a great hard working cast, good set given the space and limitations and some good songs as well. Also the KM theatre seems a great little theatre as well, lots of kids obvioulsy however most were very well beahved indeed. All in all a very enjoyable night out for me who isnt a fan of Disney musicals per say, and a fantastic night out for her who is. Its on until sunday afternoon.

Funnily enough, I remember reading a rumour about this on Theatrefan recently (albeit nothing to do with Drury Lane ): theatrefan.co.uk/rumour-disneys-the-little-mermaid-uk-premiere-planned/Anyone heard anything else? I know the show wasn't that well received on Broadway, but I saw the Stage Entertainment production in the Netherlands years ago, and I really enjoyed it.

Can't imagine it getting a major London production tbh. I feel like on Broadway they tried to be too clever with it, rather than just doing a straight adaptation along the lines of Beauty and the Beast.
