Also their work with the guest star (the filmed version having Tom Hiddleston) is great - it’s always funny to have talented actors read awful dialogue and getting their surnames wrong Hiddleston has genuine comic chops. I don’t know how well he’d do in a comedic part, but he was fantastic as the Morcambe-and-Wise celebrity straight man. He has some great facial expressions and doesn’t have an ego about looking silly

Wow this was awful, maybe it doesn't translate to the screen very well, but even the audience was pretty subdued. It was also more muddled as a piece than I expected.
Tbh I didn't think Tom was all that funny either. Yes it livened up in the second act and some jokes by the others at his expense did raise a smile, but not so much that I'd say it would be worth the cost of a ticket.

I tried to finish it last night and skipped through to the Tom Hiddleston bit but I also gave up after 5 mins as it wasn't any funnier even with a good actor in it.
